Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I remember the Assos Hunters Hotel from the 90s so it is one of the oldest hotels in Assos. But never stayed there before so this was my first experience. Really enjoyed the stay in the new and renovated version of the Hunters Hotel. It has a beautiful garden surrounded with trees. The room with the garden view that we stayed in was roomy with a king-size bed, also very nice and clean.
The hotel has its own private beach which is a plus.
We traveled on motorcycle, and the private parking lot was a big plus for us. Our bike was safe and secure. Didn't even need to put the alarm on because there was 24/7 security guard present. So Hunters Hotel is definitely biker friendly!
The staff and the owner were very friendly and helpful.
Also enjoyed the Aegean food at the hotel's restaurant.
Overall we had a very pleasant experience.
Assos Hunters Hotel is highly recommended!

the location is very nice just in front of the beach, nice sea view in the restaurant.
The road to arrive to the hotel was very difficult and not in a good condition.
Some small shops near the hotel, no big supper market but in these samll shops you can find the necessary.
Poor rooms, bad smell at night.
The food was the positif point in the hotel . nice food
The price was very high according to the quality

Great hotel to stay at , We have stayed for 4 nights. Rooms are clean, neat, friendly stuff and management. Definitely recommended. Should you have any issues, the management is keen to solve it. They are very professional.

This beachfront hotel is one of the older properties in the bay. Unfortunately, it‘s plagued with some serious management issues. The service was nonexistent, and I had to interact with unfathomably rude and uneducated employees. Definitely not ever going back.

Stayed here as part of a tour group. Noticed right away there were piles of trash in the courtyard. Found the room small, the power needed resetting several times. Curtains would not close, walls were so thin you could hear conversations clearly in next room.

Food a breakfast was ok, but many cats (and one crowing Rooster! ) were begging for food during the meal distracted from the experience.

The Beach was dirty and no real sand, just rocks and pebbles.

Our room was not cleaned on after the first night.

Would not recommend this hotel.

The staff were all very nice, and the Agean was beautiful. The food they served us was very good, and they tried to accomodate our wants and needs. The rooms were bad. Ours had bugs, and were not very clean. The beds were very uncomfortable, and the air conditioning did not work well. This is a beach hotel, and we did not expect 5 star, but we were disappointed

We were forced to stay here as part of a tour. The no-frills motel is housed in a very cheap building. Beware of mold if you get a first floor room. The hotel sits back from the ocean, so there is no ocean view. There is a faux balcony on the 2nd floor units that is so small you not sit out there, and the weight limit is one person. The walls are paper-thin, so you hear EVERYTHING in the next rooms all night long. The corner shower had a terrible drainage problem. We had to take very quick showers and space them apart. The electricity breaker kept getting tripped so the safety of the wiring is suspect. The room was very small. The cheap curtain did not cover the window so we could not block out the light. Rooms were not serviced whatsoever on our second day. No beach towels were provided There was only one working light in the room, so it was very dark. I had to use a head torch to read. There was a terrible smell when walking to your room on the other side of the staircase (smelled like sewer). There was a miniscule trash can in the room which looked like it belonged more in a doll house than to actually be able to dispose of anything.

Breakfast was very meager, but at least we had cats and a rooster to entertain us. Our group was miserable staying here and couldn’t wait to leave. . You can walk to the beach, but it is a stone beach (not a sandy beach). When we visited in October, there was a lot of trash washed up on the beach. There are lots of nicer hotels in the area within walking distance – avoid the Hunter.

actually i was not going to write a review.today, i changed my mind after talking to my tour operator ; ets turizm today.
first ; the area is ok. it was silent which is good. employees were friendly as well. but hotel is not good, or we stayed in the worst room and they did not like us. let me tell me why, in the tour operator's website, it was said that there is a mini bar - there was not. this important when you have a baby. there are many stuff that have to be kept cold. even in some photos there is that mini bar.
there was air conditioner but no remote control.i told them that remote is missing, but they did not give it to me.
we requested additional bed, they took one but one of the legs of the bed where missing so we put one pair of my wifes shoes to keep the bed in balance.
food was ok. not bad or not good. acceptable.
after one night we left the hotel. with 1 year old baby, it is almost impossible to stay there. we were talking to our tour operator all day but they couldnt/didnt help more. so while i was putting our last bag to the car , they offered to upgrade! i think they did not think that we were serious about leaving...
so i have paid 400 tl (>100$) for the second night which i did not stay too. this can be common rule when you leave but hotel should have helped because of all these problems.
our trip was 3 night only and i had to leave in the second day/night. who should leave and pay 800 tl (>250$) for 1 night ? i had to!
as a result , basicaly , don't go !

Once upon a time they have amateur spirit and we were happy at that time on our vocation ten years ago. I still remember how i was happy and peaceful while ı was staying there. And now. Shame. Rooms smell like sewer and are not clean. There was mold around the sink and this is very dangerous for human health.Bed is not comfortable to get good sleep. Air conditioning system is very old and running very loudly. Breakfasts that i care most on my vocations was avarage. Canakkale is known for authentic cheese, tomatoes, olive and olive oils. I could not see none of them served but very cheap cheeses. Despite l paid 850 turkish lira per day, they tried to interfere eating fruits which whe bought local bazaar in the beach. I was shocked. When i complained about the incident to owner he blamed the waiter who has no responsibility at all. Shame. And finally the money i paid for one glass of tea after very tasteless dinner was worst off all.
