Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Me and my family (family of 4 people) have just stayed that gorgeous hotel in Kadırga Cove. We could never imagine we can find that good hotel in Ayvacık but here it is... Who needs crowded Antalya or Bodrum when you have that fantastic place that is all about serenity and calm brings modernity and history with tasteful ambiance....We're all very impressed with everything... The beach, the rooms, the pool and the great companionship of hotel executives. I strongly recommend you to try here...

We stayed in Assos Barbarossa as a group of 10 from 3 to 80 years old members of our family. We stayed in family rooms with beautiful balconies. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff members were very polite, friendly and attentive. The hotel had a private section on the beach. The sea was unbelievably clean and refreshing!! Pool was a medium size with a separate small kids pool. During the day, pool side food and drink service were very slow for some reason. The breakfast served as an open buffet style. Lots of options to choose from and all were fresh. We weren't impressed by the dinner options and the taste but we enjoyed the live music in the beautiful garden every night of our stay. We visited the place in September which was not the high season in the area but I imagine that it can get quiet uncomfortable if it was the high season in the middle of the summer. I do reccomend the place to families with kids. The same hotel group has nearby hotels for adult-only concept.

I'm a doctor and and we planned our weekend trip to asos. We found this hotel from TripAdvisor. Me and my husband talked to this hotels personal who takes reservations for 2 or 3 times.they said they reserved the family room for our family. I even chanced my night shift for this weekend.before we ride we called them again and guess what happened!!! They said the hotel reservations are full!!! No family room for my family.... Is this a joke!!! This means this business place is not reliable. If you trust them and organize your holiday with the phone conversations, which I do this everytime before I go to my vacations, you would feel as angry and frustrated as me.

After we have visited for the first time in 2016, when the hotel was rather newly opened, this time we are glad to find here as if it is still fresh and new.
But this time there is an unexpected crowd compared to other times we travelled off-season. Later we learned that the owner of the hotel, originally a pharmacist, invited the blue collar team of his company for a free late summer holiday. This was not told us before and therefore we are a bit uncomfort of this situation. People like us travelling off-season, mainly prefer the emptiness and silence of the hotels. It could be accepted if this have been a regular hotel visitor but we wished that hotel people have told us about it prior yo our visit.

Beautiful hotel, nautic/ Barbarossa theme consequently translated in interior and exterior decorations. Very friendly and helpfull staff who speak limited English though. Great kitchen. Kids enjoyed every minute. Perfect spot to go when travelling to Troy, Pergamon and of course the nearby site of Assos.

My 90 year old father and I stayed only two nights recovering from the ANZAC day commemmorations. It is beautiful hotel with lovely, clean rooms, plenty of hot water and a magnificent pool. We arrived very late on the first night, utterly exhausted after 40 hours of being awake and just longed to fall into bed. They checked us in rapidly and the chef even popped out to see what we wanted for dinner. To be honest we just wanted to be in bed, so he provided delicious chicken noodle soup with bread and salad - a perfect light supper before sleeping for the next 12 hours. In the morning, although we had missed breakfast - they still served us a lovely Turkish brunch out on the patio. We spent our day chatting, sitting by the pool and a brief walk on the beach - it was just what we needed to recuperate. It was obviously barely open - there were only a few (maybe two couples?) other people there and all the facilities were not open but I can imagine during the height of the summer season this place must have a fantastic vibe - on a chilly day, ask the chef for chicken noodle soup.

Rooms were tastefully decorated. We had a small family room for 3 friends and it was perfectly adequate. The balcony was big enough for us 3 to sit and spend time.
It was nice that the buildings were only two story and not more.
Breakfast was open buffet and it was more than enough. I can't believe how some people say otherwise in other comments. Also had dinner there one night: the prices were ok, not cheap but not very expensive either. However they charged us 180 TL for a wine bottle, which is sold for 40 TL in the market. Also 50 TL for a glass of wine is really much.
It is the best hotel in Kadırga and also very loved by families with little kids.
The beach is not sand, has little pebbles. The hotel has its own beach, so it's free for the guests. Also you can get fresh beach towels daily.
The personel was happy to help.
All in all we loved our time there and recommend to anyone.
However you should know beforehand that the place itself is very isolated. There are just some other little hotels, motels and camping places. That means if you don't have a car, you'll be stuck there. Also no clubs or some other places nearby. It's very quietin the night. If you want to have peace and quiet, this is it. If not, then it would be better to try somewhere else.
