As soon as we walked in the staff were especially nice and welcoming. From telling us all about local attractions to showing us around the facility, it was the customer service that made the difference. Rooms were clean and tidy with no obvious problems. Would definitely recommend.

Stayed for one night en-route from Wellington to Auckland. Chose this place as it was dog friendly. Stayed in, what looked like a converted garage. Bedding was worn, pillows as flat as pancakes. Although dog friendly, you are not allowed to leave dogs in the room when you go out. We had to leave our dog in the car when...

Price was great, close to all local attractions. Room was clean, maintenance free. Comfortable room with everything we required. Whist we stayed off season to the snow will be back for the winter to experience the villa/room once again.

Stop over on the way to Auckland. Very reasonable room rate for the family of 2 adults 2 young kids and a teenager. Granpa stayed in a different room. Place was nice and clean, room was well appointed with more than adequate seating and cooking if desired. Now the downside. The queen bed in the master bedroom was very soft....

Hi Team. Thank you for staying and glad you enjoyed our spacious 2 bedroom apartment. Re the bed: It is hard to cater for all tastes in one bed. We have replaced every bed in the property since we arrived here - 102 of them! so we are trying our best to provide comfort to all our lovely guests. Cheers.

The Ruapehu Mountain Motel and Lodge is not a place to stay in the warmer months. The entire place was filled with bugs. The bathroom was especially bad, and literally had to have about 50 bugs in it. Even without the bugs I was not impressed with this motel. The rooms were very small unless you booked the big suites,...

Sigh & sadness from us :). Answering a few of this travelers concerns: Yes, If you leave your bathroom window open with the light on, during one of our warm balmy summer evening, then you are likely to have a number of small MOTHS fly in. We do indeed have a number of room types of different sizes and facilities...

A few of us have stayed here twice now each November for the Kaimanawa Ranges Tour. The reception is always warm and welcoming. The room has had a re-fit in the bathroom which looks good and parking is easy right in front of the unit. Whilst we had not pre-arranged breakfast this was no problem and there was plenty available...

We had a roomy studio unit with kitchen facilities, dining suite and sofa. Very clean and good location particularly if you are skiing at Turoa Ski Field. This is also a lodge so a variety of accommodation types. Some rooms are pet friendly. We enjoyed our 3 night stay, slept well and were very comfortable.

The Owners were available, they took time to explain us the booking of the trek, they made us a good english breakfeast, and found us some stick walk (we arrived to late in order to rent some). The bed was very nice. It was a very good place.

Good size room in the lodge, no storage unfortunately so a long stay could get a little tedious. If you are tall ask for access to a tall shower! Was ok for us shorties. Great location. Close to the mountain and town. Good communal facilities - kitchen, pool table tv etc. Had a good time

Hi, thank you for staying and for your good review. Just for future travelers information: longer stay guests, and families, may be more comfortable in our well appointed, significantly larger, Studio or Alpine Motel units, where you have your own private facilities, wardrobe space, etc. Our en suite rooms are recommended for twin / double bookings.

An amazing time, cool way to meet other people and let the kids play. Such a home style feel, relaxing and clean. So fun having a pool table and the communial lounge with sky TV. Incredibly close to Turoa entrance. Good parking. Drying room was super helpful. #BrittDavidNadiaGeorgia ♡
