I would highly recommend staying at the Alpine Motel and Lodge. The room was excellent and away from the street, so nice and quiet. The room was comfortable and relaxing and would stay again without any hesitation. I also enjoyed the high quality food at the Lemongrass Restaurant that is attached to the Alpine.

We stayed here for a couple of nights, can't say anything negative. Free spa pool from 3pm and Laundry facilities with washing machine and dryer. The rooms were very clean with everything we needed, fully equipped kitchen with teas/coffees/hot chocolate and milks! Dara and Scott- the owners were more than helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The onsite restaurant was...

Budget Backpackers clean , but lacking in many ways no power plugs to charge phone, no pots to cook food ,no oven only microwave to cook food in backpackers mixed bathroom. Payment taken out twice on visa was refunded on request. Motel units cook but pricey.

This regards the backpacker accomodation: paper-thin walls, only 1 power outlet used by heater, wall beside bed was soaking wet on the inside from a leak probably, overflowing rubbish bin and 1 kitchen table for about 20 rooms. Overpriced and well below par with other backpackers.

Stayed here multiple times with friends for the odd weekend snowboarding. After staying in most places around ohakune, the alpine motel is our go-to place to book, the spa is amazing after a hard day on the hill, or if the mountain is closed! Everything is always clean and comfortable, electric blankets, great bathrooms facilities, everything you need in the...

I was disappointed by my stay here. My family and I stayed in a self contained two bedroom apartment at the New World end of the property for four nights. It was adequate, but there were so may disappointments that it is hard to be enthusiastic. This accommodation would suit a bunch of mates who were using it as a...

We were a group of four couples staying at the lodge joined by one other couple staying locally, for the purpose of cycling The Old Coach Road cycleway from Ohakune to Horopito and return. The rooms were very tidy and clean, but the best part was the blasting hot showers. When we arrived around 10.00pm it was freezing cold outside,...

Recently we spent two nights at this motel and stayed in the studio accommodation. We found the room clean and the bed very comfortable. It was great to have the kitchen facilities. We arrived late in the evening and found the hosts Scott and Dara had left the heater on which was lovely as it was a very cold night....

I've had the chance to stay at the Alpine on a year-long trip to NZ and it was definitely a lovely place to stay at - be it during the busy winter season or the slower summer season. The hosts, Scott and Dara, will go out of their way to make you feel the most welcome and to cater to...
