We stayed with Peg in her charming home for three nights. She allows you the use of her home while you visit as she uses a small cabin on the property. Her home is charming and we really enjoyed coming back after dinner to sit...More

What a beautiful B&b to stay at. Peg is so friendly and her breakfasts were so yummy and generous. The room we stayed in was lovely with a private full bath, balcony and walking distance to the river and town. We would stay here again.

Your question has been directed to us. We were guests at a B&B on C in Talkeetna. You should contact Peg direct and she will be able to answer your questions. In our experience we had a car so transport wasn't an issue. I understand there is a train from Anchorage to Talkeetna. The town is quite small so once there it is easily walked. The train station is a bit of a walk out of town. We highly recommend staying with Peg who is the ultimate host. Also don't be shy and go down to the Fairview Inn one night, preferably Friday when the band is playing, sit at the bar and talk to the locals and visitors. We had an absolutely hilarious night when we visited. In summary we loved Talkeetna and our time with Peg and the locals we met in particular the train crew on "the Hurricane" - Enjoy
