The hotel was average, nice location. The hotel staff were pleasant. The only thing was that the evening life was a little too quiet, the bar was hardly open, we walked down to the Sofitel and the bar was buzzing the drinks were much better and the vibe in general was so much better and for the price we wish...

Overall, we had the best ocean view room, in regards to the view from the balcony. Sits on the top corner floor which allows for a panoramic view of the beach. As far as hotel service, their best interest is your money. It takes a couple of days to realize. We were very hopeful when we first got dropped off...

Gorgeous view looking into the lagoon. No swimming pool although swimming area was pretty sandy, not deep but spread out enough as the place was not crowded while we were there. Completely booked , we can't see there being enough room. Food at restaurants was pretty good, adequate selection and breakfast buffet good, but not the best. Downfalls were there...

My husband and I booked for our yearly anniversary vacation. I was afraid I had made a wrong choice of booking at Maitai, but when we arrived I was glad we booked there. The hotel is one of the largest, nicest hotels for the price. It has a bar, a restaurant near the lobby, a restaurant by the beach, and...

Totally under rated Hotel! A superb hidden gem that will take you by surprise. A pretty private beach with cute overwater bungalow's. Friendly staff that make you feel very special. Location Location!! Everything is close by and easy to get too. A 5 minute walk and you are at Maitira beach which is rated one of the most beautiful public...

My husband and I own a wedding videography company and specialize in destination weddings. We have traveled to 41 countries so far and have been to Bora Bora twice. Once we stayed at the expensive Le Meridian and the other time was here at Maitai. On this particular trip we booked the entire trip for a client as I have...

We stayed in an lagoon view room that was spectacular. The king size bed was so comfortable and so was the ac. Right in front of the hotel had great snorkeling with beautiful coral and tons of fish. Also, there was a very pretty beach. It was walking distance to the grocery store and some great restaurants. One of our...

The Maitai Polyesia offers traditional overwater bungalows without breaking the bank. They're still expensive (as is everything on Bora Bora) but are a relatively good value. The resort is a little older, but the staff was efficient and friendly. We stayed in bungalow #5 which is a deep overwater bungalow. This allowed us to jump right in and snorkel. Some...

Fabulous location on Bora Bora! Beautiful beach with plenty of loungers available, free kayaks - wonderful to take across the lagoon to neighboring motu, fantastic snorkeling right on the premises - can also follow the current and snorkel your way down to the Sofitel property with some surprises underwater! :) Saturday night Polynesian Dance Show - highly recommend. Free shuttle...

We reserved a beach bungalow with a king bed. The room was very spacious and featured a daybed and a small patio overlooking the lagoon. The grounds were well maintained although in general, the room is due for an update. They offer wi-fi for a fee and was spotty. The breakfast was ho-hum, serving the typical continental breakfast of fresh...
