For the most part we had a great stay. Greeted with a lei and juice at the airport and then by boat to resort. Our butler Carmen greeted us at the dock and took us to check in which was quick and thorough. We received an upgrade to an Otemanu View Overwater Bungalow from the

First off, you can’t go wrong here no matter what room type you book. That said, if you can swing it definitely book overwater with views of the mountain. This place is unbelievable in every sense. The service is some of the best we’ve ever had and we’re already dreaming

We recently returned from 6 days in Bora Bora at the St. Regis and 6 days at Le Tahaa in Tahaa. My wife preferred the St. Regis, and I preferred Le Tahaa (see separate review). They are completely different experiences, and I am very glad we tried them both. St. Regis was

It's the best of the best. If you get one of those once in a lifetime memories that you need to memorialize - for us our 25th wedding anniversary - then this is the place. It's expensive to get there and expensive to stay there but the experience was a once in a lifetime memory.

Our over water villa
I have only stayed at Le Meridien and St Regis, but the St. Regis hands down is the better hotel. Better food/service/bungalows and they truly make you feel like royalty. I will give Le Meridien the nod over saint regis when it comes to the view of Mt. Otemanu. It had EXCELLENT views from everywhere, especially the beach, as where the st regis beach looked towards the lagoon/motu. I hear the conrad is nice, since it is new, but i dont like the fact that the bungalows face mostly open ocean. Hope this helps!

This wasn’t a problem when we stayed. The overwater bungalows are spaces pretty far apart so I’d be very surprised if you could tell if someone in a neighbouring bungalow was smoking

Your deck is perfect for natural tanning. Enjoy. If you choose to do it on the public beach....I seriously doubt anyone will care. Show off and tan...You earned it.

"get the view of Mt. Otemanu"
"All views are great but mountain side gets sunset"
"If you aren't getting an overwater bungalow, don't go. It's worth it. Every penny."
"We had an over water villa with a view of Mt Otemanu. We loved the villa and view."
"Upgrades are hard to come by as property sold out most of the time. Book what is in your budget. All villas would be fantastic !!!"
