Travellers' Choice
Cnapan is a fine listed Georgian townhouse located in the historic centre of Newport/Trefdraeth which, in turn, lies nestled where the beautiful Preseli Hills roll down to meet the spectacular Pembrokeshire National Park Coast. It is a house with a “lived-in” and loved feeling and from the generous hallway with its traditional oak Welsh dresser crowded with old family treasures, to the spacious pretty bedrooms, you will immediately feel at home in this comfortable house.

What a beautiful B and B with the most wonderful hosts. Having had the misfortune to suffer a broken shoulder on my first evening in Newport (not at Cnapan) I couldn't have been looked after better. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was stunning and the breakfast was delicious. To top it off they had a GP on hand for a quick check up! Thank you to their daughter. Thank you so much for looking after me. I can highly recommend Cnapan.

We really enjoyed our stay at Cnapan. Judy & Mike's attention to detail is excellent. The rooms are extremely comfortable and have everything you require for a perfect stay. Would highly recommend. We stayed in a room at the back over looking the pretty garden.

We have used Cnapan Guest House for our visits to Pembrokeshire for many years and have always been warmly welcomed and made to feel at home. The rooms are comfortable and decorated to the highest standard, breakfasts are sumptuous and cater for all dietary requirements. At our latest visit, following an enforced absence arising from the pandemic, we found that a microwave oven and a refrigerator had been added for use by guests – the former intended for take-away snacks and the latter containing water and milk for drinks. In short, Judy and Mike do everything in their power to make your stay a happy and comfortable one and I have no hesitation in recommending their guest house to everyone.

I have been staying at Cnapan for nearly 30 years now. The house, rooms, food and hosts are all first rate. Sadly there is no food in the evening now, (although Judith and Michael will point you in the direction of a number of local pubs and restaurants). The housie is well positioned for exploring Pembrokeshire. There is also a lovely garden to sit in and enjoy a tea or coffee and Welsh cake. The recent fine weather made our stay even more enjoyable and we are very much looking forward to returning for am longer stay.

I know the area well but had never stayed at Cnapan's. It exceeded all expectatons. Perfectly located in centrak Newport and within stroll's distance from the estuary and the beach, the Guest House is managed with kindness and generosity by the owners, who are very much involved in producing amazing breakfasts and setting the scene for a relaxed stay even under the current circumstances. Beautiful bedrooms, refined products in the bathrooms - I really could not have found a better place to stay.
