Cnapan is a fine listed Georgian townhouse located in the historic centre of Newport/Trefdraeth which, in turn, lies nestled where the beautiful Preseli Hills roll down to meet the spectacular Pembrokeshire National Park Coast. It is a house with a “lived-in” and loved feeling and from the generous hallway with its traditional oak Welsh dresser crowded with old family treasures, to the spacious pretty bedrooms, you will immediately feel at home in this comfortable house.

A wonderful B&B in a lovely location. A welcoming and warm reception awaits anyone staying at Cnapan. Scrupulously clean throughout, this B&B offers the very best in hospitality and breakfasts. We would have no hesitation in recommending it to friends and family.

An excellent stay in a beautiful house with a good welcome and super breakfast; my only reservation would be that rooms at the front are quite noisy due to its location on the main road from Aberystwyth and, if visiting in Summer, there did not appear to be any air-con and so one would need to open the windows and increase the noise.

Super clean, super comfortable and super friendly. We cannot rate Cnapan highly enough. We also enjoyed the fact that the breakfasts did not overface us and were much dryer fried that the norm. It is a great centre for seeing sights around.

This is a guest-house where you really do feel like a guest, and the owners Mike and Judy are very welcoming and friendly. There is great attention to detail in both the house itself -which is comfortable, spotlessly clean and stylish- and the service which ranged from a welcoming pot of tea and welsh-cakes after our coastal walk to arranging parking! Mike and Judy, and Maggie, even remembered our family members who stayed with them years ago and who always said how much they loved staying at Cnapan. Breakfast was delicious and freshly served, which set us up for another day's walking. Trefdraeth (Newport) is a lovely small town and alhough Cnapan no longer serve evening meals there are several excellent choices within easy walking distance. Diolch yn fawr Cnapan - many thanks for a lovely stay. …

If I could give the Cnapan 6 stars, I would. This is the most homely of B&Bs, with warm, spotless, and comfortable rooms, a beautiful lounge with log burner, tasty breakfast (love the fresh fruit, yoghurt and mango puree 'starter'), and owners Judy and Mike who go out of their way to make your stay absolutely perfect.

A warm, friendly and beautifully done out guesthouse in a lovely area. I agree with all other positive feedback. Really couldn’t fault our stay. Breakfast was delicious. Fab evening meal in Secret Garden Llys Meddyg. Wonderful atmosphere with all the twinkly lights and fire pit. Amazing food too. Golden Lion was excellent The broad bean burger was delicious! Newport has it all - even got up close and personal with a beautiful little seal while walking the stunning coast path!
