The hotel is relatively new and the room we´ve got was very nice. However, if they promise you to have a view on the sea, it´s a view on the pool actually and the sea is somewhere in the distance. As far as cleaning the room, there was an instruction what to do with your towels if you want them to be exchanged in order not to waste water resources (and I really liked this), nevertheless, it did not work. Once we put the towels on the floor, we never actually received new ones (until we specifically asked the cleaner for them). Also, cleaning the room was not actually cleaning but rather tidying up. You could use the sign "please clean my room" on your door handle, but sometimes they cleaned the room anyway (meaning, tidied up), sometimes not (so no purpose here either). My friend and I had our towels somewhere in the room waiting for them to dry and after we came back to our room and if the cleaner had been there, the towels were folded in the bathroom - so we did not know whether these were clean towels (since we did not put ours on the floor) or dirty towels just folded up, so we did not know which towel was whose - this was really confusing.

The restaurant in the hotel provided enough meal options, but, unfortunately, not if you are vegan or vegetarian (and do not want to eat only vegetables and rice the whole week). Nevertheless, if you ask, they can prepare you meals of your preference. So, basically, there was no problem, everybody was nice, trying to do their best. Since they are not very familiar with veganism, you have to say specifically what you want to eat and if they have the ingredients (e.g., they do not have tofu in Egypt), they can prepare it. Especially, the restaurant manager Ahmed Abdallah and the chef Muhammad were very nice and helpful. Since I prefer vegan options, sometimes I just asked for some legumes so I could add it to my plate to have protein. The breakfast boxes were very poor, though, I would prefer to prepare it myself if they gave me the box.

In general, all the stuff in the hotel including the bars was very nice. You can have (alcoholic/non-alcoholic) drinks almost anytime. If you are out of water, you can take an empty bottle and fill it up in the restaurant or ask the stuff in a bar.

The sea area where you can swim is not very large, but I suppose it is everywhere like this in Egypt. There were lots of colourful fish in the sea and the swimming area included a coral reef, so it was nice for snorkelling (if there was not a red flag, which was unfortunately quite often).

Overall, my friend and I had very nice vacation in this hotel and we might come back one day.

I spent at this resort one relaxing week together with my family and our 16 months old son at the beginning of June 2021 . The resort is brand new, everything was very clean and everybody incredibly helpful. I want to really stress the kindness of the staff of this resort (cleaning staff, gardeners, staff in the restaurants or managers) since I have never met so honest, modest and friendly personnel. I used to go to Hilton and other places but the staff there seemed to me quite arrogant and just waiting for the tips. Here I was nicely surprised. Also the food was very tasty and of a wide choice! We also profited from the Wellness SPA center, were we got amazing and professional massage (big thank to Nastia and Jasmine). The animation team was also great, having events also for kids. Greetings to Bianca, very kind and helpful girl from Slovakia. The only issue was that when the sea was rough the molo was closed. However it was still possible to walk to another beach which is just 1km distant. The resort is also not far from the Abu Dabbab beach were are the turtles. Couple of times we went there by walk. I also appreciated that we were given the room immediately upon our arrival (which with a small baby was really needed) and at the reception we were offered a drink before the check in was done. For the kids there are plenty of attractions and a aquapark! We are already planning to go back in October!

Nice new hotel. Spacious rooms that were cleaned daily, towels changed, refilled bottled water in the room. Nice gardens around the pools. At each pool, there is always a lifeguard, pool bars with lots of drinks, coffee, and most importantly friendly staff. The beach is clean and spacious with plenty of sunbeds. Snorkeling pier. There is a large low tide, but you can always take a bath. The coral is small here, but there is a lot to see. There is a beach bar where there is a pleasant sitting area. From 13.00 to 15.00 there was a snack, which can be used instead of lunch in the main restaurant / french fries, meat mixture, pizza, pastries, salad /. There is one main restaurant. The food was excellent. Really large selection sometimes queues for food, but the staff always tries to deal with this. We have seen changes every day. Lots of seafood, grilled meat, liver, duck, rice, french fries, pasta, grilled and cooked vegetables, fresh vegetables, and more. Large selection of desserts and pastries. Less fruit, but you can still choose. There is a great animation team that takes care of you all day. We loved their song with which they started and ended the day. Activities for adults and children/yoga, water gym, volleyball, evening entertainment every day /. Young people who love their job and do it really well.Thank you for a nice holiday. We will definitely be back.

First of all, the tour operator recommended this hotel because it’s brand new and cheap, so I wasn’t expecting high quality standards in terms of food or service, but still it wasn’t that bad.

Anyhow, we found some issues that made our stay not memorable: in the rooms there is constantly a toilette smell and the mirrors and glasses are never cleaned properly. We called housekeeping several times and were told that this is normal because of the wind!! This explanation was so comic and tragic in the same time that we didn’t even know how to reply!!!!

The whole facility is spacious and what we found really a bit strange is that the number of seats at the main restaurant are never enough. We always had to wait 15/20 minutes to sit with our plates and this not only bothered my wife and I, but especially in this time of pandemic we don’t find suitable to have not only too few tables but also all attached one another.
Anyway the restaurant responsible Hani was always kind and helpful, trying to sort problems and make us comfortable.

At the pool the situation also could be better.
The umbrellas are really dangerous!!
If the staff is so aware of the wind in Marsa Alam, how they chose so unsuitable umbrellas for the guests? Even with the huge stones they put to try to stop the umbrellas to fall on our heads, the risk is very high and we preferred not to use it and lay under direct sun!!

Concerning the beach and the sea access.
This is the first time we see such bad quality sun beds: burning hot and weak plastic!
Take care when you lay down as they may break under your…
The most annoying thing of all was: the floating bouys in the sea.
In the middle of the beach there is a very nice jetty that takes you directly to the coral reef, a beautiful area full of colorful fish that could be great for snorkeling, the swimming area in fact could be wide and we wanted to snorkel along this reef as we always did, but NO!!
There are limits everywhere, floating balls all around of us that we were not allowed to pass!

I highly invite the person in charge of the Hotel to try swimming in the middle of this forest of plastic floats and try to find his way among the people that use them as floating seats! This totally prevents the freedom and the meaning of swimming in the sea!!
I would be really interested in his evaluation of this sort of experience.
I think you should provide with life jackets to those who can’t swim, instead of installing these stupid plastic tools.

All together we can’t say that we were not happy here, but I am not sure we will give it another visit.

We are currently here at Sataya, that a point to be mentioned, because I have found time to write feedback.

Let’s start with real advantages of this hotel:
1. Huge, beautiful and well-groomed territory. Nice pools.
2. Food: there is a variety of meat, all cooked well (big plus). Vegetables - ok. Sweets - nice.
3. Rooms at the building 19 are huge, well designed…
4. Big beach, a lot of sun beds, 3 areas for swimming, some corals are still alive and here are enough fishes.
5. Animation: to tell the truth, the best animation team I have ever meet, nice activities, they don’t disturb and act very professionally. Likes to all of them.
6. Disco, we were quit shocked that there is a modern club with an amazing DJ.

That’s it for +++, now let me explain why this hotel really under the 5* standard of quality:
1. Firstly we got a room in the building 11. We were shocked how dirty that room was (all the where was sand, windows and mirrors were totally dirty, paint stains were at the floor and on the mirrors… lots of things to mark, just believe me, it was looking like maximum 3* hotel’s room.
2. Stuff…. Unfriendly, the most problem is at bars, they act like “what a fu.. do you want from me?”. Example: at the swimming pool bar one barmen (I guess Zohair) don’t take my orders at all, he doesn’t see me, even when I was asking. At the restaurant they ALWAYS give small portions of food, it’s really annoying to ask them all the time for more (and sometimes they look at you like: you are not allowed, but I make exception for you). I tried to be extremely kind, smile, politely asking, but …. Nothing changes.
3. Food: there is a problem with fruits (extremely small variety and there is almost nothing after 30 minutes after opening a restaurant.). Fish: no seafoods…, just one variety of fish (and usually it is nuggets).
4. Moreover we got sick both (typical illness here). Guys we met here also said to us that one felt 3 days extremely bad and sick… So, maybe there is a problem with water, or food, or drinks at the bar, I don’t know.

To sum up, I can’t recommend this hotel, it’s not a 5* hotel even for an Egypt.

We visited this hotel with friends, we had three double rooms, we finally got two rooms, as compensation we got a 4 bed room with whirlpool. The room was beautiful, clean and had its own "restaurant" with small snacks and drinks, which they brought to us on the terrace. In this restaurant we were served by Mr. Husien Nady, who always brought us drinks with a smile and tried to accommodate everything and deserves a big thank you.
We got the second room at 6 pm with minor complications.

Unfortunately, on the second day of our holiday we had a cleaning problem when we had to ask at the reception at 6 pm if someone would bring us at least bottled water and toilet paper.
There was a longer waiting time at the bar by the main pool, where some guests were preferred.

The food was great, so were the drinks.

Whenever there was a problem, they immediately tried to solve everything. A huge thank you goes to Mrs. Lujze, who is very helpful and always tries to help with everything and satisfy everything, unfortunately without her the hotel reception would not work.

Swimming mostly in the pool, the sea is walked from the pier, where there is a wonderful underwater world.

The holiday was generally nice, on our arrival more guests came than the hotel was used to, so there were complications with accommodation, for which the hotel apologized.

Once again, a big thank you to Mrs. Lujza who helped us with everything, the hotel can be grateful for such a person.

Despite some complications, we enjoyed the holiday.

We returned from Sataya Resort a few days ago . The hotel is newly opened, although you can see that the construction took several years ;-) but it is recommendable and worth the price.
A very nice reef for snorkeling. You can meet turtle and dugong and many nice, colorful fish and corals.
The food both in the AIDA restaurant and in the a 'la carte restaurants is very tasty. I was very pleasantly surprised by the international salad bar and the taste of the main courses (compliments to Chief Sallam). Delicious and varied desserts, but it is a small selection of fruit in my opinion.
Service in restaurants at a very high level, guys work like billyoh (special thanks to Mr. Eskander)
Pleasantly furnished and large rooms, although every evening there was a fight who is supposed to sleep on an uncomfortable sofa ... The rooms were cleaned every day and the towel figures gave our daughter great joy (made by Ody).
The Holiday Day well organized by the Animation Team. Evening shows attract people. We enjoyed the belly dancer performance the most !!!
The service in the bars is great. Most of the staff are very helpful, polite and nice people (special thanks to Mohamed Gaber, Abdullah Mohamed and Mahmoud Jamaica).

All in all, a successful holiday.

We stayed here for a week in august. This was the third hotel we have stayed in Marsa and while there is room for improvement it offers good value for money.
Clearly the new management painted all the buildings, but now it’s got to be time to improve the pools.

Check in was easy, our room was ready after we had lunch and we were shown to our room (Building 11). We had requested to be in the same building as our friends but they stated the hotel was full. The room was basic, furniture was old but overall you don’t come to stay in the room. We had everything we needed and housekeeping cleaned the room daily.

If I was to call out something it would be the room was freshly painted, but there was paint everywhere, on the tiles, floor, fittings which could be easily solved.

The food was good, there wasn’t hundreds of options, but there was fresh meat each day and a bbq a few times during the week. Plus on all inclusive you don’t need hundreds of options. We were a group of 7 but our waiter Mohamed Ali (greatly named) was awesome, we had our table every lunch and dinner no matter and the service was fantastic.
Alcohol was typical Egypt quality as expected, we took some nice alcohol from Poland.

The pool area needs some renovation, two of our kids got some small cuts as there is loose grout from the tiles nothing major but the pool was clean, we stayed at the small quiet pool each day and it was nice. The other main pool area was super noisy as that’s there the animation team was. At our pool there was 2 areas where the run off tiles had fallen in and a chair was put there to stop people walking there off
They could do with more plastic cups and get rid of the chipped plastic ones. We stayed here for a week in august.

The house reef is good, lots to see and we could take the kids in the different areas to see the fish, however it wasn’t possible to get there early in the morning since there was a gate and a security guard - we typically like to go diving at 6/7am but we ended going later.

Overall it was a good vacation, good value for money from Poland and we have a nice time

Sataya is a new 5* hotel divided into complex of buildings located in large well kept garden area. We stayed in building n. 15, which was few steps from the beach and close to the main building with restaurant. We had one of the ground floor rooms with a terrace and beautiful view to sea, opposite the pool and pool bar. It is probably better than the upper rooms with a small balcony. The room was nicely furnished and well cleaned thanks to amazing room service.

The food was usually good, especially breakfasts. For the all inclusive we would expect bigger selection of meals, but that was probably due to minimal occupancy. The restaurant was spacious with enough places to sit inside or on the outside terrace. We had a quite unpleasant experience with a dress code which was sometimes inappropriate from some guests. It is not a big deal to wear a proper clothes especially for lunch and dinner, wet swimwear and shorts are not acceptable. It would be nice to think about it and behave with respect to hotel rules and culture.

The beach was clean and large, there were enough beds and privacy. Unfortunately, the access to the water is from the pirer but during our stay there weren’t a lot of people so we enjoyed the sea as well as the empty pools 🌊🌴.

Hotel employees were very kind and decent. On the other hand, we had a bad experience with the beach sellers and people who constantly talk to you and offer their services. If you like your own privacy on the beach and don’t want to talk with the beach sellers etc. we recommend you to ask for red flag on your beach umbrella 🏖.
We really enjoyed our stay in Sataya, considering some of the shortcomings, it's a beautiful hotel with a potential. We will hopefully comeback in the future and try a room with a private pool 💙.

This is our second stay at this hotel, this time alone, without children. We highly recommend it. The hotel is new, clean and well-kept. Pools are cleaned daily and thoroughly. Rooms are big and really nice. Food is very good, lots of choice. Very good Italian and Lebanese restaurants. A beautiful coral reef, we used the VIVASUB school, safe and successful dives, we also recommend it. The hotel is good for families with and without children, the aqua park zone is away from the adult zone. Great animation, animators are not so pushy. The service is amazing, everyone is smiling and trying to make your holiday unforgettable and lest you miss anything. We would like to thank all employees of the hotel. All the managers are very professional, they keep an eye on their areas and take care of the guests. Special thanks to Khaled Recreation Manager. He is really committed to his job. He is really amazing, takes care of everything and is very helpful, the best employee! We also thank bartenders Mahmood Jamaica and Mostafa from the beach and others bartenders from the pool bar, whose names we unfortunately do not remember. Great service at the highest level and the best drinks Thank you very much again, thanks to you our holiday was the best!
To sum up, in our opinion, is a very good hotel with committed employees, worth visiting, what we will definitely do again!
