Easy transfer from the train to a bus and then to the hotel. Luggage was taken care of easily to & from. Check-In was a bit slow and our excursion info was in a 2nd spot but was found easily when we asked about it. We had pre-booked our excursions and had a kayaking trip scheduled the 1st afternoon so... More

The room was fine with no disturbances as it was the furthest lodge from the community areas and the view of Denali Mountain, as we walked down to these areas, was spectacular. The meals were large and tasty and the service was good. Some enjoyed sitting around the evening fire, outdoors, afterwards.

Following a seven day cruise from Vancouver BC we extended to Denali for three days. It was the last trip for the year and many eating places were closed as the water had been turned off. Restaurants are scarce and expensive.

This lodge is laid out on large park like grounds. Rooms were great BUT ask for a room away from the stairs as they are noisy and we asked to be moved. It was lovely to walk around the place and see how well planned it is and there are interesting bits of information along the way. Things I didn't... More

This hotel has shuttle service to Telketna (we loved this quirky little town... inspiration for the show Northern Exposure). The hotel is a complex of more than twenty hotel buildings. Each are two stories high. There are several restaurants, all excellent. The main lodge is situated so that it provides perfect views of Denali (if you are lucky enough to... More

After a 7 day Princess Cruise, train ride up to Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge. the mountain is 40 miles away and unfortunately clouded so no mountain view which is understandable. Nice enough lodge but restaurants were average but no other opinions available. Really no hiking trails. The staff seemed stressed but it was the last of the season and... More

This area and lodge were just gorgeous. We loved it. It was just a breathtaking area. There was so much to see. The lodge was so comfortable and relaxing. I loved the atmosphere and never wanted to leave. Would go back and look forward to the day when we can.

We stayed at 3 different Princess Wilderness Lodges and liked this one the best. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with gardens and wildlife statues. Although Denali did not cooperate in giving us a peek, the view is still awesome. LOVED the great room in the Lodge - something for everyone in terms of seating options and you really got that... This lodge is 5 star. Beautiful mountains and trees to really relax you. Beautiful petunias and flowers around everywhere. Sitting in the lodge or on the deck was truly magnificent. The rooms are like new and very clean. The food at the restaurants is excellent and moderately priced.. The service by the maids, front desk, customer care, bus drivers, train... More

The rooms at this Princess Lodge are far nicer than the ones in Denali. More modern and clean. Could use workout facility for rainy days when unable to hike. Not too many trails to hike but managed to do all available. We were the last group to go through the Lodge before they closed for season. They had already shut... More
