Really brings people together sitting on the back deck of the lodge. Nice Alaskan seafood in lobby of lodge. Nice gift shop and wonderful scenery . If you are in need of laundry services, most of buildings 17/24 have services. Those buildings are in middle of property

It was easy to utilize the lodge. Many options for activity for our short stay. If I was younger I would have spent more time in the outdoors. The wild life we did see; fox, salmon, moose [several] and caribou We also panned and found a little gold!

The views of Mt. McKinley and the main lodge building are the strong points. Nice outside dining weather permitting, which was great for us. Our room was quite a hike from the main building but was not problematic. Rooms was adequate, no room service, but did have in room coffee. Place has great potential but overall the upkeep on the...

Beautiful lodge. Rooms were average. View was breathtaking. Staff was very pleasant. Several restuarants on site with a various entree and sandwich selections. Short season with high prices. Most people were on a Princess Cruise tour.

Had two night stay as part of Princess Cruise. This lodge is set up is like the Princess Denali - the rooms are in out buildings, not in the lodge. There is a inner and outer circle of room lodges, so be prepared to walk. I did see a regular shuttle making the rounds. There are two restaurants on site....

We were not part of a Princess Cruise, which we quickly discovered was a problem. The hotel does not seem to recognize guests who didn't book the Princess Tour. We showed up with our luggage at the Talkeetna train station (one hour by bus from the hotel) and they had no idea how to get our luggage from the train...

Transitioning from a day in Talkeetna to a day at Denali, we booked at this property. The rooms are spread across several individual buildings, which fit with the theme of the hotel. As others have said, if you want to save a few steps ask for rooms near the main lodge. The Four Seasons this is not, the rooms were...

We booked this hotel because 1) We had a special coupon book, and 2) because when we called the hotel booking office in February, we were told they were in Talkeetna. WRONG! They are a 1 hour bus ride from Talkeetna, which they charge $10 per person. We got there and it was unseasonably warm for the month of June....

The McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge was the perfect finale for our first trip to Alaska. We had packed 11 days with cruising, excursions, rafting, fishing, whale watching, etc. Having two days in a serene, peaceful setting was just what we needed. Our room was spacious, comfortable and attractive. It was near the restaurants and main lodge. We walked trails, took...

Rooms are dated and without wife. Only food option is on site restaurants where food are average but expensive (as expected in Alaska far from any cities). Many rooms are a few minutes walk from the main lodge where the main activities (and wifi) are. Take advantage of the walking trails on the property.
