Our family came into town to visit and we rented a Suite (room 411) because we needed the private bedroom and kitchenette. All was fine when we checked in but was disappointed because the rooms were not renovated like the Standard rooms, the living room TV did not work so the kid

We spent the night at Totem before an early morning ferry to Whittier and we were sorry we didn't stay longer. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean and comfortable, decor fresh and original, staff were great. They opened the breakfast buffet a few minutes early, which was good

Our room in the new building was excellent, very comfortable, wide, and the staff at checking and in the hotel (may be Kazajos) was kind and helpful. I think this is the best option in Valdez right now.

I was reluctant to book a night in this hotel because we had always previously stayed at a national brand hotel in Valdez. It had been a few years since we had to stay in Valdez so we decided to try Totem Hotel and Suites. I was extremely pleased with Totem Hotel and Suites! We w

I am trying to find out if this hotel has a pool or a Jacuzzi. So far I can't seem to get an answer.
Hello, As far as I know there are no hotels that have a pool here in Valdez. As far as Jacuzzis, I know the Totem Inn does not. If you are looking to get more questions answered the front desk number is (907835-4443. There is a friendly front desk attendant wait to answer any questions you might have. Hope this helps, Jerid

Does breakfast come with the room?
Hi Cheryl, Thank you for your inquiry. Because of our full service restaurant with a "legendary breakfast" we do not package inclusive rates. We would love to have you join us both for a great nights rest and possibly one of our famous crab omelets.

When I booked my room online there were conflicting policies on how far in advance I would need to cancel...1 day or 3 days in advance of arrival. Not planning to cancel, but need to know just in case. What is the cancellation policy?
Our cancellation policy is 24 hours or 1 day and I apologize for the confusion. I need to update this on the Trip Advisor site, thank you for the reminder and hope to see you this summer. Mark Spring, GM

Are rooms with 2 queen beds air conditioned?
Hi NDB, None of our rooms are air conditioned, I apologize, but it is Alaska and I'll be happy to provide a fan and with an open screened window at night I assure your comfort.
