We absolutely loved our stay at Sleepy Dog Guesthouse and would come back in a heartbeat! We were on a small road trip around Arizona and were thrilled to find this home with it's amazing views , comfortable in size with nice accommodations and most importantly it is dog friendly, which allowed Ballou (dog) to come along with us.:).

If you're headed to Bisbee, this is the place to stay! Oozing with charm and lots of natural light! The hubs and I took a 3 night escape and were thrilled with the Sleepy Dog! We sat for hours on the back patio reading and having our morning coffee. The view can't be beat! We brought our bikes, but wound... More

We found this place, last minute and decided to try it even though I'm afraid of heights. Well worth the climb. It was so peaceful. The cabin was clean and comfortable. We were happy there were breakfast items in the icebox so we didn't have to leave to get something to eat. It was just so much fun to kick... More

I researched every dog friendly accommodation in Bisbee and chose Sleepy Dog. The online description made it sound so perfect. My expectations were so high I felt sure I would be disappointed. I found it excellent in every aspect. There are big and little artistic touches everywhere. The view from the dining room was so great we ate dinner in... More

The Sleepy Dog is an amazing little house nestled on the side of a mountain overlooking "downtown" Bisbee. I hate to use the words "neat" or "funky" but The Sleepy Dog is certainly both -- the place itself is immaculate, with terrific views and a lovely little deck and yard. Laura, the owner, makes herself available for whatever you might... More

We absolutely LOVED our stay at Sleepy Dog!!! We had a long drive from Orange County CA and when we got to Sleepy Dog our expectations were way beyond what we had expected! Every corner of the home from the front entry to the backyard has something "fun" to admire. Tad has wonderful collections of miniatures on display and has... More

We had such a relaxing stay. As much as we love walking through Bisbee, we couldn't wait to get back to Sleepy Dog to sit and relax on the porch with the amazing view of downtown. Our dog loved the grassy backyard area.

The Sleepy Dog is a very cool property, and everything about it is Old Bisbee charm. The artwork is out of this world, fun to look at and enjoy. It's a great place to relax, regroup, reflect and rejuvenate. The king size bed and linens are heavenly! I felt so well rested when I woke up. The property was nice... More

I love old, historic, funky, artistic, magical, eclectic places to stay. I was in heaven. There is nothing like that back porch with the view, the breeze, the sound of birds and insects communicating, and the occasional drunken screams from Brewery Ave on a Saturday night. Tad has got to be the most laid back, trusting souls on the planet.... More

We will definitely return. Bisbee is a magical and eccentric town and the Sleepy Dog is the perfect private bungalow to enjoy the whole experience. While in walking distance from downtown it also offers a private, quiet and tranquil nature experience. The best of both worlds. Though it was September we enjoyed the breezes on the porch during the day... More

“This is not for everyone as there are 48 steps to climb from where you park. So, please talk with the owner if you have any doubts. BUT, for ME, I love it!!!”

“Payment with cash or check only. Just a heads up: there is only a bathtub. Pets allowed. Stop at the Safeway near town for any groceries you may want as there is no grocery store within walking distance in Old Bisbee only a Circle K with minimal items. Be prepared for stairs up to the house.”
