Bayside Lodge is a five bedroom four star graded owner run Bed and Breakfast. It is perfectly positioned along the Western Cape's Garden Route, close to Plettenberg Bay's magnificent blue flag beaches and the famous Robberg Nature Reserve. We offer quality accommodation with personalized service and a "home from home" atmosphere which includes all the extra touches of a Guest House. Our suites are all different - be it your honeymoon, a family holiday, or a business trip. Set in a safe and quiet residential area, it is just a 3-minute walk to Robberg beach, half an hour by car to Knysna and one hour to Tsitsikamma. Full English and Continental breakfasts are served overlooking a tranquil garden with a secluded salt-water swimming pool. There is Netflix, uncapped fibre wifi, off-street parking, a guest lounge with lots of reference books, brochures, and restaurant menus. We provide beach equipment & picnic baskets. Guests are given all the local info and advice for a fabulous stay.

Property's Favourite Review
Some people we know are not inclined to stay in an in-home B&B but Adrienne and Bernie show how to do it right. Their living quarters in the house are removed from the nicely appointed guest rooms, breakfast room and common areas. The gardens and landscape are very attractive. They are long term hospitality industry pros and know how to cater to all the needs and wishes of their guests while remaining discrete and affording them a good level of privacy. Our room was very comfortable and our breakfast was very good. Their staff did our laundry and returned it to us clean and ironed. They also possess an encyclopedic knowledge of the area. On top of all this, by our standards, the rate was very reasonable. I highly recommend them for a relaxing few days along the Garden Route.

This was the first stay on our South African holiday and proved to be the perfect start to our tour. The rooms are large, comfortable and well equipped and Adrienne and Bernie were great hosts. They gave us lots of recommendations for places we wouldn't have otherwise visited and also booked restaurants and taxis for us. Highly recommended

Clean spacious and comfortable rooms. Had a handy side space for storing suitcases and luggage. Electric blankets for those chilly nights! Complementary delicious flapjacks and sherry provided in the room which was a surprise. Delicious breakfast with plenty of choices for vegetarians. Great tips from the hosts for planning the stay which helped immensely. Thank you Adrienne and Bernie for being the perfect hosts and making us feel so welcome! We received a warm welcome at Bayside Lodge, my wife, our two kids (10 and 13yr) and myself (Dutch). We had two bed rooms with lots of handy space for clothes and luggage, and a nice bathroom with shower and bath. All very clean and solid. Nice atmosphere in rented rooms, in the common sitting room, garden and swimming pool. Very good breakfast, lots of choices in yoghurt, fruit bowl, nice bread and roll, pancakes for the children. French toast. Absolutely fantastic stay! Als good information of the owning couple of restaurants to go in the neighborhood (Surf cafe, Enrico's) and info about walk on Robberg, and scenic road to Oudtshoorn. One of our best stays this holiday in South Africa!

We just returned from our SA-trip and stayed in many lodges. We could say a lot of positive things about the rooms (clean, nice atmosphere), the great breakfast (freshly baked bread, nice pancakes), the information stocked general room, the cute dogs (even our son who is terrified of dogs appreciated them after a while) and the very nice surroundings, restaurants, er cetera, but what we will remember best is the magnificent and warm reception by the owners: it is very clear that they are passionate about their lodge, but about “Plett” as well. They have given us tips that made our stay even better (the Robberg-walk is absolutely one of our favourite activities in SA!). Thank you very much, Adrienne and Bernie, I hope we will be able to return to Bayside one day! As said we stayed in many places, but we and our children liked our stay in Bayside best!…

We, a family of 2 adults and 2 teens, stayed two nights in the Bayside Lodge in Plettenberg. We had a very warm welcome and the hospitality is really amazing, you feel your self at home. The breakfast was great and also when we had an early activity they made a breakfast package. Also they had great tips for sightseeing and walking trails in the area.
