Location: The most enviable location on the Garden Route. At the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, jutting into the ocean - any closer and you would be in it! - as well as the estuary of a large lagoon- no neighbours More but nature! Exquisite, unimpeded 180 views (360 from the roof deck) of the vast blue ocean, golden beaches, large lagoon and the imposing Tsitsikamma Mountain Range. Nature all'round, yet not isolated, but only a 2-minute drive from the town centre and its trendy shops.A pristine beach: accessible from the sheltered cove adjacent to the Manor - ideal for swimming in natural water – you may boat across to an unspoiled and usually deserted beach, far from built-up areas, traffic, crowds and noise. Blissful solitude and a complete immersion in nature, with only the sound of white-crested surf tumbling at one’s feet and the calls of a medley of seabirds – a veritable bird sanctuary. Becalming and rejuvenating - the perfect antidote for stress,. With luck you may even find the mysterious and sought-after pansy shell (sand dollar). The Manor: built in classic Georgian style, with an airy double-volume foyer and eleven double bedrooms, most with private patio or balcony. All rooms are decorated in crisp white and en-suite to a shower cubicle with/without bath, and a queen bed or twin beds, TV-hospitality package, free uncapped Wi-Fi, tea/coffee making facilities, safe, fan, heater and hairdryer. The sash windows allow the fresh ocean air straight in. Less

We loved everything about the hotel and would certainly stay there again. The staff are very friendly and the restaurant, operated by a separate company, is also very good and decent value for money. Location is excellent.

Walk out the garden gate for an morning stroll along this beautiful, almost deserted beach. We found Plett as bit busy but Milkwood Manor is away from the main road and is very peaceful. The rooms are large and comfy, the restaurant is very good and also has fantastic views. The

We arrived a bit early (12.00) since we had planned on a whale watching trip. We were greeted warmly and shown directly to our room. WOW! We had room 2 with a terrace with direct views to the ocean. The room was large and very comfortable with an extra sitting area large enough f

Dear yogarobin, Wow, what a review! You are quite the wordsmith... We are so glad to hear how much you loved it here with us, and slightly saddened that you couldn't have stayed longer... We loved having you. Hopefully, though, it won't be too long before we can welcome you back as family... until then, the golden beach awaits your footprints in the sand. Best regards, Milkwood Manor on Sea

Are there showers in every room, or do some rooms only have tubs?
All rooms have showers and only some of the rooms have bath tubs as well.

"All of the rooms look lovely, a couple did not have balconies, so I would suggest that you request a room with a balcony when you book."
