One of our biggest regrets was we only stayed one night in this little hotel.(We had to fly out the following morning)situated two minutes from the beach and ten minutes from Port Elizabeth. When we arrived we were greeted with a refreshing drink and a personal welcome. The room was Hugh and very clean but did not have coffee making but we...

First of all, don't be put off by the photo of the large white hotel on this page - The Windermere looks nothing like it. The photos that have been posted below are exactly what you will find. My trip was business focused. It was perfectly situated just outside the city with many restaurants in the vicinity. Nothing was too...

This is a boutique hotel in the suburbs of PE and a short 10 minute drive to the airport. It’s a good choice if you have an early morning flight out as we did. They don’t have a restaurant but there’s a small shopping center two blocks away with a few restaurants and a gas station. This hotel has zero...

Spent a great weekend at The Windermere. Great location , well appointed large rooms , friendly and attentive staff and wonderful breakfasts. It may have been a cold wet weekend in Port Elizabeth but the service and my experience was most certainly warm . I will be back.

We spent one night at the Windermere Hotel and it was more than we had hoped for. We were leaving Port Elizabeth early the following morning so the hotel was in a perfect location being only a 10min drive to the airport. It was also located quite close to a number of restaurants. Whilst the restaurants were within walking distance,...

On our way to our safari we stopped in Port Elizabeth for one night. We had a reservation in the Windermere. The welcoming of the staff was short and we got our room key and that was it. The room, well I call it appartment, was huge. A big living room, a big bedroom and a big bathroom. Very clean...

We were lucky enough to buy a voucher for a one-night stay for two on a charity auction (hospice) and spent a few hours in the divine comfort and warmth of this gem of a boutique hotel. I say a 'few' hours because we were in Port Elizabeth on business, working long hours, so our treat at the Windermere wasn't...

We stayed at the Windermere for one night at the start of our garden route journey after flying from Kruger. Rooms are fantastic, very big and clean. The staff were excellent, very helpful and breakfast the next morning was really good quality. Would recommend when staying in Port Elizabeth.

Stayed here for husbands iron man. Our car broke down on the way, ensuring we would not at all be in time for dinner. The girls waited up for us and served us a late dinner upon a warm welcome and arrival. Excellent service and staff. Great interior overall.

It was our third stay in The Windermere Hotel and for us it is the one and only choice when coming to P.E. No need to repeat the other guests comments as it is just excellent. The location, the huge rooms, the food and the service, which always exceeds your expectations makes it our place to stay when travelling to...
