This was to be our last night in South Africa, so I wanted a restful resort like hotel, to stay in for 24 hours. This hotel met all of our needs. I knew before hand that we would be stuck here, as there is nowhere to walk to except the zoo. We loved our stay. It was like being on... More

A beautiful hotel on the Cliffs overlooking the zoo. Wonderful room, great views and good food. Service is personal and prompt. Definitely a place for all occasions. We were with a family group and had a family dinner which was well prepared And served. Breakfast on the deck overlooking the zoo was wonderful.

After having traveled through much of South Africa over a two-month period, we decided to treat ourselves to a one-night stay at this property. A couple of things stood out immediately: its location and design. The location is in a very leafy green up-scale neighbourhood about 30 minutes from Tambo Airport. We simply didn't hear any traffic noise when we... More

I was told property was purchased by Four Seasons sometime a year or two. The lay out is that of residential area rather than a hotel. However the grounds are beautiful but you do need to walk outside on steep hills to get around the property to the restaurants, spa and front desk. The first night I had a very... More

Our 5 star treatment started at the airport. I had booked the transfer with the hotel and when we left the plane there they were greeting us with a smile. We went pass the passport queue and picked up our suitcases. After 10 minutes we where in a fancy Mercedes E-class on our way to the hotel! What..that never happens...well... More

This is a Four Seasons that does it right. The hotel itself is updated and impeccably maintained. You feel very secure on the grounds, particularly at night. Rooms and amenities are beautiful. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious. They have great restaurants and room service as well. Had it not been for one mishap at the Spa, which... More

lack of amenities & poor decor. bathroom taken from a 1990s travelodge. a long time to get to/from your room especially if your key stops working. service average/good. beds great as usual. bar/restaurant nice but as expected expensive for SA.
