We had the pleasure of staying at the monarch hotel for 3 nights, the staff were lovely, the room( upgraded to the Royal suite) was awesome. A place that made us feel like royalty. Nothing was too much trouble and they even organised a driver to show us the sights of Joberg central and Soweto that was much cheaper than...

I was based in Rosebank for a workshop and chose the Monarch over "brand" hotels down the road. This turned out to be an excellent decision. It is a delightful, unique hotel with carefully chosen art in the public spaces and excellent, good sized rooms. As a result, it is much, much nicer than the (equivalently priced) corporate chain hotels...

Luxury hotel with great amenities but could use a little more tending to. We stayed at the royal suite which was very spacious, fitted with a comfortable living/ dining area, canopy bed and massive bath. However, during the daylight one could see the need for a bit more tlc around the edges. While the bath was very modern the rest...

I spent one night here and wished I stayed longer. I had a luxury suite, which is the smallest room they offer. My goodness, was it large. You feel luxury the moment you get into the hotel and the hallways are incredible. Then there are marble floors on the entrance of the suite. The lounge has one of the most...

Rosebank mall (not as bad at it sounds UK readers) good shopping and some excellent smart restaurants within easy safe walking distance. Hotel taxi and staff all helpful and good. We had wonderful stay at this hotel having found it on Trip Advisor. Our room was a suite, bedroom, living room and dining room with a private patio. The hotel is very well located, a five minute walk from the Rosebank mall. Staff were very accommodating. The wifi seemed to go on and off in the evening which was annoying....

The hotel is very good, the staff is exceptionally friendly and the rooms are gorgeous - very big, huge bathrooms, great beds. The Rosebank Mall is literally around the corner, safe parking behind the hotel. Can definitely recommend this hotel!
