Nothing to much trouble, we arrived early morning and as requested car at airport for transfer. Had breakfast and sat in the shaded garden whilst room as got ready to allow us to check in early. The door man even walked with us to show the way to the Rosebank Mall.

We only had one night at the Monarch hotel during our stopover in Joburg and the hotel was exactly what we needed. The Royal Suite was indeed royal, beautifully decorated and very spacious. The staff was extremely friendly and the dinner as well as the breakfast just delicious. I also liked the very personal character of the hotel compared to...

We booked the Monarch hotel, thinking it would be a nice change from our tented safari and we were not disappointed. In fact, it was more than just luxury, it was a beautiful suite with a double patio. The room was elegant and the staff could not have been more cordial, accommodating and welcoming. Breakfast included was sumptuous and elegant....

My wife and I booked into the Monarch hotel for a quiet New Year's Eve. This is a boutique hotel with only 12 rooms. The hotel furnishings are exquisite and the rooms substantial and well appointed. While the hotel did not have any special arrangements for New Year, we enjoyed an excellent dinner at the restaurant and a substantial breakfast...

We found this hotel to have a luxury feel and we were very well looked after. The customer service was excellent and the rooms are clean with expensive-looking furniture and fittings. There was even an international plug and wifi available in the room. There was not much to do within the hotel, however the Rosebank mall is within walking distance....

Truly a hidden treasure in the heart of Rosebank. The attention to detail in the property, the stunning arts and antiques all blend together to offer a quality experience. The hotel itself although in the heart of a "city-type" environment transports you away from the hustle and bustle to a place of tranquility and service excellence. Truly a destination that...

This is by far the most beautiful hotel at which I have ever stayed. I was upgraded and the suite had a huge sitting room, with a dining area, a terrace, an amazing bedroom, and a stunning bathroom with both tub and shower. In truth, a bit over the top...and not the best feeling when thinking of all the people...

Nice hotel, refurbished old Post Office, well situated near Rosebank shopping mall. Only 12 rooms. Our room was huge, with separate sitting area. Lovely personnel, very friendly. Shouldn't be in a hurry though... Good breakfast, dinner good quality, but limited choice. Good price/performance overall.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of the Monarch. We are very pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us and that you found the food to be of good quality.
