We stayed at Leopardsong for 3 nights in October and had an amazing time. The staff were all absolutely lovely and an extra big shout out to our ranger Dirk - he was super knowledgeable and taught me so much that I am now completely obsessed with the African bush and already looking at booking my next trip there, so thank you!!

I stayed at Leopardsong for 2 nights with a friend and we had the most amazing time. The lodges were so comfortable and I slept really well. There’s a small pool to cool down in and some communal areas for the down time. We chose to include breakfast and dinner included in our package. The breakfast was a decent portion size and good quality. It set us up for the day. Dinner was a delicious 3 course meal cooked fresh each night. The staff were INCREDIBLE. Everyone was so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We had to leave early on our final day and the staff went out of their way to make sure we had a simple, yet tasty breakfast. Also a big shout out to Dirk the Ranger; this was our first safari and he was so knowledgable. We were out for 3.5 hours and saw Lions, Giraffes, Elephants, Rhinos, wildebeest, Impala, warthog and many more small animals and birds. I will stay again!

Our travel arrangements were uncertain as a result of being on standby tickets. Susan was most understanding of this and always responded promptly to our updates. As a result, our transfer from JNB Airport was seamless. Our rooms were clean and comfortable and fitted the ambiance of the setting perfectly. We enjoyed the food which was nicely cooked. The domestic & kitchen staff were friendly and accommodated our requests for an early lunch to fit in with our late check out & transfer to the airport. Our rangers were Dirk & Cullen. What great guys! They used their extensive knowledge of the game reserve to explain what we were seeing and to head for the areas where we were most likely to see the animals we were interested in. I found it fascinating to learn how they and the other rangers cooperated to give the guests of the various lodges in the reserve a chance to see the animals without disturbing their natural behaviour. They are clearly passionate about their jobs and dedicated to the conservation of the local wildlife. Overall, Leopardsong was a special place to visit. There is such a sense of peace there that is rarely found in this busy world that I'm privileged to travel as an airline pilot. Many of my colleagues have visited the lodge multiple times, which should give you an idea of the quality of the experience they offer!

The most wonderful experience, from hotel pick up to drop off. We stayed 1 night and did 2 game drives. 1 early evening (with a sunset drink) and 1 very early morning drive. We saw different animals on both drives and Vincent the driver is super funny, knowledgeable and professional! The lodge accommodation is superb, food wonderful and the best part sitting around the camp fire in the evening after dinner. We will be back and most certainly will recommend to others! 6*

My husband and I did the afternoon/evening game drive with Dirk and we were fortunate to see Kudu, Blesbock, Giraffe, Zebra, White Rhino, Black Rhino, Lioness, Hyena, Bush Pig, Impala, Gazelle, Oribi, Bushbuck, Wildebeest and Ostrich. Sundowners with a spectacular view was a highlight and the evening meal that followed was superb. John kindly prepared fish for me and steaks for everyone else. The cabin was just lovely and awoke to a dawn chorus and magical sunrise. We shall certainly be back soon.

Fantastic venue in stunning setting. Game drives are exciting and informative ( huge thank you to our expert guide Dirk) and a superb selection of animals seen, both at sunrise and sunset. Elephant, lion, zebra, hippo, rhino, wildebeest, giraffe, a vast selection of birds and a tiny chameleon to name but a few. Food delicious and plentiful and a well stocked bar for some cold drinks by the pool and sundowners on night time drives. Staff are friendly, polite and all aim to give their guests the very best experience. There is a pool area to relax when not out in the reserve, often an animal or 2 will join you at your wooden, thatched cabin, all mod cons available. Priced competitively, jut an hour and a half from Melrose Arch, transport can be arranged, including holiday packages with airport transfers if suits. Only slight negatives are the countrywide power outages, affecting the Wi-Fi service on occasions. however currently a generator and oil tank are being built to improve this situation. Sitting around an open fire, making new friends and cooking on a huge bbq are all part of the joy. The team do their best to cater for all dietary requirements. Would highly recommend for a relaxing and all round wonderful experience. If you have never been, book now, you won’t regret this mesmerising adventure.

We visited in November 2023 ,which was our 5 th visit .It never disappoints and each time you are greeted as friends and it feels like home . The staff are always so friendly and welcoming and yet again nothing is too much trouble .The rooms are immaculate and always cleaned by the time you return from early morning game drive and breakfast .The local dishes served at dinner are great and the steaks cooked to perfection on the brai .We had not met Ingrid the Ranger before and her knowledge about the African Bush is exceptional .She gave us some fantastic sightings , particularly the elephants and on 2 occasions one came up to the game viewer ,which was incredible. She really is an asset to Leopardsong. We took advantage of the extra trips that are available to book and went up on a microlight to see the game reserve from above .I cannot rate this place highly enough ,it offers an intimate, more personal safari experience. We will be back and have booked for November this year.
