The 4 star rating must be reviewed. Definitely not a 4 star lodge. The place is incredibly run down, the pictures on the website are nothing like the property itself. I would not recommend staying there.

What can I say? It was only one night, but what a night. Beautiful and spacious rooms, the garden is the place if you like to relax before a long flight. And the personnel was always helpful and I would like to thank especially Collin, who welcomed us and helped us in any way until the last moment. He got us a driver for the night out at Montecasino, who stayed there while we were having a stroll through the shops and our dinner. We always felt safe. I can highly recommend this lodge and not only for one night!!! :-)

Lourie Lodge is a value for money stay in the Fourways area. Safe, good breakfast and nice staff. The rooms are cosy, I would suggest to pick the bigger rooms if you enjoying a longer stay than one day.

The staff were very friendly indeed! From not knowing where the entrance was and being assisted, to every little thing we requested. They really assisted with a smile and made our stay very comfortable. Breakfast was good. The only negative was the wi-fi- it was horrible and loadshedding did not help either. The venue itself is in need of some new bedding. Ours were clean but had mold stains on it. The lampstands need replacement although in good working order. The bathroom is stunning and new. It would be nice to have an iron sent to the room, we had to iron in the hallway! There were three events during our stay, which we didn't mind. It just meant we had to remain inside not to disrupt their event. But it definitely was no bother at all. The success of the place is definitely the staff, they were just great!…

I’ve been client of Lourie Lodge since 2015. I love the quiet setting hence very central, the old, colonial-style but well maintained rooms, and especially the outstanding friendliness and helpfulness of the staff!

One of the best places I've stayed at. I wished we could extend our stay but we will definitely book it again. Breakfast was delicious and the whole place was beautiful. The room matched the pictures, I especially loved the bathroom.

Beautiful accommodations. Great rooms, outdoor couches and pool, sitting area with fireplace. Full English breakfast cooked to order. Self serve bar area with superb South African wines.
