We've stayed 1 night in July 2013. We paid a lot for a room where a lot of things were broken and in a unsafe state. The house and the room are not clean at all. The B&b is run by a lady (Dolly) who isn't concerned at all. She's only interested in your money. Soweto is a very nice...

Dakalo is "ok." The house is charming and the rooms are clean, but the house is cold (literally, at least in winter--as in unheated!), but also, the owner seemed disinterested in chit-chat, but very polite.

Very nice B&B, run by lovely Mrs Dolly. Located close to the touristic part of Soweto (Vilakazi Street, Nelson Mandela House). Nicely decorated house, clean, very good breakfast, car could be safely parked in the garage. It is situated in main area of historical interest in Soweto. It is well located place. This place is a gem within easy walking distance of the Mandela House and the Hector Peterson Museum.It also has well smattering of restaurants and there are a few shebeens on the sidestreets. The area is busy with trinket sellers and tourists...

If you're considering staying in Soweto while in Johannesburg, this B&B is an adequate option. It is well located, just a few minutes walk from Vilakazi Street, the main area of historical interest in Soweto. Vilakazi St has a smattering of restaurants and there are a few shebeens on the sidestreets. The area is busy with trinket sellers and tourists...
