We got a connected room with other customer and you can hear everything from the next door. Especially when they are snoring at the night. The room is quite small. The breakfast was not that great. My fried sausage seemed to be off when I tasted. The service is horribly slow. We would not go back there again

I arrived after a long day and the super friendly service of the staff impressed me. There are not many 5 star options in the Durban area. If spacious rooms, modern fixtures, great views and good service are your requirements you will be satisfied at The View. At the end of the day the friendly service was the highlight for... More

On a recent business trip to KZN, I was fortunate to be booked into The View Boutique Hotel. It felt like an oasis - so luxuriant and relaxing, and the staff were wonderful - nothing was too much trouble. There were lots of little things that made me feel really comfortable and welcome. And the view was spectacular. With a... More

Had a wonderful weekend stay. The room was very clean and modern. Amazing views from the balcony. The staff are friendly and helpful, although porters would be helpful to help carry luggage down the many stairs. The menu at Giorgio's was a bit limited. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone who wants peace of mind and needs to... More

We booked the hotel online. We felt that the website did not do the hotel justice. We were surprised to find on arrival that we had complimentary champagne and fruit. Also worth noting is the free shuttle service to the beach/mall which we did not know about until we were at the hotel. The room looked far more impressive in... More

No porters to assist with luggage had to walk in the rain on dangerous slippery tiles.Poor signage to get to the hotel and the reception.Standard room was small @ claustrophobic,no railings to hang our wet towels not even a hair dryer for the ladies. Situated closely around a residential area, very small parking .The food at Giorgio's was horrendous ,unprofessional... More

She took total control and calmed us all down by offering us a coffee or drink to settle the nerves.(was most welcome) The venue is just beautiful, there was sufficient waitrons not to have to... I moved to this hotel as a change of accommodations while in Druban for a conference, however, leaving Durban for a 25 min car drive seemed problematic and I was hesitant to go out of town since my conference was downtown. Well, was I wrong! After dusty and noisy Durban streets - this place was just like heaven. Wonderfully located... More
