I've been fortunate enough to have stayed at Duma Manzi Eco Lodge and Spa a number of times and have thoroughly enjoyed each visit. Located alongside the famous Umkomazi river, and surrounded by dramatic cliffs and dense vegetation, Duma Manzi is nestled into the heart of Zululand. On each arrival, we are welcomed and taken down to the lodge in...

Arrived Friday from Durban, met by Casper and taken to the "House on the Hill" with a short tour through the house and the history told. What a "Grand old Dame" will definitively book this house for a weekend stay. We traveled down, down down to the Lodge and saw plenty of animal and the scenery to die for. We...

Booked and paid for a spa package on the 22nd of March for 3 couples for a full day spa and accommodation on the 2nd of April Was advised by the owner on the 1st of April and after numerous enquiries about the spa itinerary that the package had been canceled a month ago. This despite my invoice reflecting the...

My husband and I booked a last minute getaway weekend. The location is superb, just 45minutes front the coast. The lodge is located in the valley, right on the river which is stunning. The new boma, bar and restaurant decking areas is the perfect example of bush luxury! Classy, elegant, romantic and on the river front. We stayed in the...

My husband & I visited this beautiful lodge for a weekend & will definitely be booking a second trip. We stayed in a sandstone room, which has all amenities one would need & the private plunge pool was an added bonus, as the view is amazing. We did also experience the spa at the lodge, which was an absolutely relaxing...

We have just experienced three fabulous nights at Duma Manzi. There is nothing better than waking up to the song of the river and the beautiful bird calls. The rooms are amazing and the beds and pillows are super comfy. The staff are efficient and attentive and couldnt do enough to make our stay a pleasant one. The food was...

The lodge is nestled unobtrusively within the lush landscape at the bottom of the valley alongside the picturesque Umkomaas River. On arrival we were warmly welcomed and shown around. However I was surprised to learn that the “manager” was one of the therapists. The public areas could do with a spring clean and the décor is out dated. Our room...

We stayed for 2 nights at Duma Manzi. The location is stunning and the lodge is beautiful, but we got an overall feeling of neglect at the lodge. The beds and bathrooms are very clean, but the room looked like it could do with a good spring clean. The sitting room at the main lodge was dusty and full of...
