My girls and I visited The guest house, we enjoyed being at the house more than we enjoyed being at the beach, the staff members truly made us feel at home I'd like to go again soon...they braai'd for us and ate with us like our own kind, they called to check up on us whenever we were out to... We stayed at the Lodge a few nights with our 10 month old baby. The owner was welcoming and friendly, happy to answer all our questions about the city and life in it. Not only was she incredibly sweet with our little one, but she helped arrange a very knowledgeable taxi driver for an all-day tour of the city. The... More

I must honestly say that the location wasn't so bad, but I think the advertising is done really well because the Ad is way far off from the real world. My Husband was really disappointed. The only outstanding this was the SPA...the Spa was excellent. The breakfast just effortlessly done, wasn't much choice, it just felt like one hadn't left... More

We had a lovely, short stay - everything was clean and beautiful and the staff were very accommodating and extremely polite and friendly and made us feel very comfortable.. The spa was extremely relaxing.

We just visit the African Sensations Spa and Lodge for a 1 and 1/2 hour spa treatment for 2 (which we purchased off daddy's deals, valued at R1850) Firstly, quite a funny experience: upon arrival we walked through the door marked "reception", to walk in on a poor man in bed in his suite! The owner was shocked the arrow... More

Poorly decorated and in desperate need of an update. Mould growing on walls. Stuffy room with no ventilation. Long black hairs on cracked tile floor. Filthy toilet facilities. The towels and bed covering were disgusting and stank...I had to request a clean towel. The strangest set up for massages with long intervals where the therapists disappear without a word! The... We visited African sensations after purchasing a special offer via Groupon SA. It was a lovely BnB, beautiful settings. Im not quite sure whether the 4 star rating still stands as it was not up to that kind of standard according to my holidaying experience. During the night, it seemed that the permanent residents of the house had their own... More

We had à great stay at African Sensation Lodge and Spa. The rooms were nice and spacious, the hosts helpful, breakfast was good and the surroundings were really beautiful. Restaurants within walkingdistance ( at least for swedish standards ), but still situated in a really quiet part of Durban. Highly recommended!
