The lodge is situated in a wild reserve, witch is awsome. At our breakfast, there came a group of 13 giraffes by, just a couple meters away. We arrived very late, we called to asked if that was okay; and it was. When we arrived, the staff was not so friendly to help us and to welcome us. We were...

We arrived and received a hearty welcome from Dave, the Lodge Manager. We experienced a spectacular storm. Us and other guests gathered on the steps taking photos. We experienced wonderful hospitality by all staff. A worthwhile affordable Family weekend.

Can't start to describe how welcome we felt! Address was wrong on our description, so we called them and they helped us immediately! Once arrived (it's really in the back) the host was extremely friendly and so were the rest of the employees. Singing, making jokes, always laughing and giggling... it was like coming home! Booking a (very) last-minute safari...

Stayed here 2 nights and was not impressed. We loved the people working here. They were friendly, efficient, and likable. The food was also good. The rooms were what disappointed - very outdated and uncomfortable. The beds were hard, the glass on the front door let in too much light, only one electrical outlet, the toilet didn't work properly (had...

Bayala lodge 2 was a Nice place to stay, only bad thing was the WiFi connection where you have to pay for. The personal is very friendly and does everything to give you a Nice stay. The drive up there 10KM from the mainroad is a little safari on its own. We had zebra's and giraffes on the middle of...

We spent 2 days at this lodge and it was absolutely amazing. A very efficient Bianca facilitated our reservations with not just the lodge but also our activities at Emdondeni, Bayete Zulu and the game drive at Hluhluwe. The accommodation was average but the friendliness of the staff and the atmosphere made up for the lack of luxury. Management are...

We are here for the third time, first in 2009, then in 2010. Both times we enjoyed Bayala very much mainly because of the possibility to walk through the immense bushfields on your own since there were no dangerous animals. Our walks were a pure pleasure. Unfortunately the owner has decided to introduce Buffalos now, taking away the pleasure of...

This is a working Game farm/lodge with good accommodation and good service. The menu is good with a great dinner spread. They also offer game walks with their local ranger. Rooms are fair, spacious and very neat. A good breakaway and also to relax in the bush.

We recently spent two nights at Bayala for a friends wedding. Bearing in minds i think probably around 90% of the guests staying there the Saturday night were for the wedding. My entire reservation process was handled with ease, even with the change over of reservation staff. Upon arrival at Bayala though, we were met with the complete opposite of...
