The bar, pool and eating areas are lovely here. The food was always very good. The problem is that the fans in the rondavels were pretty ineffective and so difficult o get cool after a day out on safari.

The lodge is in fact a series of small "roundavels": little houses that are very basic, spacy and cosy. Good shower, nice private terrace. With some luck you see some zebra's and/or impala's passing by your own doorstep! Being in the midst of "safari country" the odd bug can't

Dear SMorris, Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay. We are all pleased you had such a wonderful stay and were able to maximise what the lodge has to offer all our guests. You indeed were very lucky to see the Big 4 and we do hope you will be back to tick of the last of the Big 5. Thank you for the suggestion on the fly screens we will certainly look into this.

What type of electrical adapter plug do I need to bring for use in the chalet? I am coming from the USA.
You need an South African plug. There are adapters which you can buy almost everywhere from European to South African. So when you have an adapter from USA to European you can add this to the local Eur/ SA adapter and you are fine. But be aware voltage in South Africa is 220V!!!!
