The Vuyani Safari Lodge is located in the Blue Canyon Private Game Reserve which is more than 36,000 acres in size and part of the Greater Kruger National Park area. At the foot of the Drakensberg mountain range, Vuyani Safari Lodge is one of South Africa's premier safari lodges, in the country's most famous area for African wildlife. The Vuyani Safari Lodge is one of only 2 licensed lodges on this reserve, and with only 10 suites, it offers one of the most exclusive safari experiences in South Africa. The reserve offers a unique opportunity to observe all of Africa's large game such as the lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, hippo and crocodile as well as some of the very rarest species, amongst others the wild dog, the brown hyena, the ground hornbill, cheetahs and several other highly endangered animals. Almost 400 various species of birds have been counted. Some of the rarest European migratory birds visit the reserve in the European winter months.

Vuyani Safari Lodge was honestly the most amazing getaway my husband and I could have ever wished for. The staff for so attentive to detail and went out of their way to cater to our every need. The rooms were magnificent and the views were out of this world. We got to tick off all the Big 5, which was a bonus. This was the worst experience we have ever had at any lodge in SA! Rude management, arrogant and disrespectful, even in their replies to other people who have given them bad reviews. They think they are gods. I would like to warn anyone and everyone that this place is not worth your money. Nothing was as advertised, the food was terrible, the resort looked dead with no lights on, no bars operational, and when we complained about the quality and service we were told we don't know what good food is, we don't know how great they are, we don't know what we're talking about. We demanded a refund and were told they won't give us our money back and that we need to leave, we said we won't leave without a refund so guess what, we got escorted out with 3 guards armed with R5 rifles!!!!!!!! How ridiculous and absolutely shocking!!!! They have no snacks in the room, they have no food options if you couldn't eat their terrible food, they don't have basic cooldrinks and beer in their minibar. They eventually told us that booking.com has our money and that we will get it all back. 3 days later we are informed that the lodge refuses to give us the money back. I cannot believe the arrogance of these thieves!!! They exploit people through false advertising and once they have your money they threaten you and pretend like they are perfect. Absolutely disgusting behavior. I expect a bad response because "I don't know what I'm talking about as a customer" so let's see if I'm right...…

If you want to experience something authentic and dreamy, this is the place to be! I went on a short vacation with a couple friends and we wanted to see wildlife up close. The resort was lovely and we were able to able to tick off all of the big 5 (elephant, buffalo, rhino, lion and leopard) in one day! :) The staff was very attentive and welcoming. The food was fantastic (I'm pretty fussy with food) and the chef happily accommodated my vegetarian friends. The view was breathtaking and everything was made in this resort to make you feel comfortable. We had an incredible time and I highly recommend this place!

Went there with a few friends, the staff was superb very hospital and kind, we enjoyed our stay from food to well prepared rooms. The Safari is a true experience, I recommend everyone to try it, to be that close to the animals and feel their vibe and the way they live truly memorable, the reserve is proper and the animals are roaming freely, high respect for the resort! definitely going back

Inspired by Nature . serene beauty , ultimate getaway for a holidays. various wildlife to see every where. Peaceful place with a great host & staff. I stayed 6 nights night on a trip with my friends and will definitely be staying here in future longer trips. The host was really great and helped us as a first time visitors with all the info about the area from restaurants, tourist attractions etc. Dinner each night was absolutely top notch - the best food we had during our trip to South Africa. we had several types of meat each evening on the braai, beef, chicken, all cooked to perfection. The rooms had everything you needed and sitting on your patio watching a kudu stroll by not few feet away is something you won't forget. The room was clean with lots of thought put into the needs of a guest.
