Together with Lower Sabi my favourite camp of the Kruger Park. The view is unique and the setting together with its position within the park make this really one of the must stay camps of the park. To sit on the terraza of the restaurant and just gaze out over the beautiful Olifants river is allready magic and to experience...

As always the Kruger National Park is like a bit of heaven on earth and the Olifants Rest Camp is one, if not the best, rest camp in the Kruger! Olifants Camp is situated on top of a hill overlooking the Olifants River and all rondawels, guesthouses and chalets have an expansive view over the river. Lighting a braai fire...

Biyamiti is our favourite Bushveld camp in the Kruger Park (see my review Dec 2013 and Olifants is our favourite main camp. It is one of the smaller main camps with no camping area The location is very excellent, on a hill overlooking the Olifants river. The Chalets are not very luxurious but like all Sanparks accommodation, they are neat,...

I stayed in a perimeter bungalow for two nights. The view from my bungalow (#91) was magnificent. Oliphant’s is located high above Oliphants River so the perimeter bungalows have a fantastic uninterrupted view. The rooms are Spartan, two single beds, air conditioner and fridge. Simple amenities such as towels and a cake of soap are provided. The shower was a...

Inside the nature, nearby the most famous animals living in wild environment. Expert guides, really safe place. You cannot find all the best comforts of a 5 stars lodge, but it is the only choice if you want really live the park.

Visited this camp for coffee a couple of years back and promised to stay next time and it didn't disappoint. Set on a hill overlooking the Olifants river it's situated in a magical position especially at sunset. Rooms are of average Kruger Park quality so don't expect luxury, basic but functional is how I would describe them but hey ho...

We had a chalet on the perimeter with stunning views up and down the river. The unit was small and quite old, with a very noisy air conditioner but the view from the outside kitchenette makes up for it all. The unit was very clean and the staff were very friendly. The shop is big and well stocked. The Mug...

Olifants stands on a beautiful location overlooking the Olifants River. Game viewing with a beer or wine in your hand is easy. Sunsets are stunning BUT The campsite looks well maintained, the roads and walkways are clean and tidy, the rondavels laid out in rows but the choice of rondavels is limited. It is basically a 2 or 3 bedded...

Quiet, friendly staff, good restaurant and shop. We had a river view rondavel which cost a bit more but is worth every cent extra. Looking over the river we saw hippos, elefants and different antelopes We also had the early morning drive which we however cannot recommend to anyony. First hour in darkness with 2 search lights and driving through...
