What a warm welcome we received, setting the tone for the rest of our stay. The staff must be complimented on their friendliness and going out of their way to make our short stay such a memorable one. Staff even made sure that our car was safely garaged and prepared individual picnic bags for our trip back to the airport.Not...

Beautiful setting about 15 min drive from Kruger Park gates. We had a spacious, comfortable room. We were able to relax on the verandah and watch the birds in the beautiful garden. There is a pool, but wrong time of year, so a bit too cold to go in. Food was pretty good, although the packed breakfasts did get a...

I would absolutely recommend to stay here. Scenery is great and the staff is very friendly! We stayed for dinner for two nights and it was amazing! Rooms are spacious and clean. It has nice surroundings, visit the Elephant sanctuary, you will not get disappointed. Don't hesitate to stay at this guesthouse, it's lovely!

We've got a great stay in this guest house. A nice welcome with a good drink. A superb diner prepared for us although they didn't knew that we would have dinner there. No problem for the staff and they prepared us a very nice boboti.

Tranquil farm setup with a "Out of Africa" movie feel. Beautiful area out of town but still near to all the major activities. GAP Tours add value if you want to see the area including the KNP. Host very friendly and helpful.

Laughing Waters guest house is a real treat. Close to Kruger National Park, it is the perfect place to stay during your visit to the park. The rooms were clean, the staff friendly, and the food was divine. As a vegetarian, I find it difficult to sometimes get good quality food without settling, but Jayden cooked me special meals for...

You couldn't ask for a more welcoming, attentive staff. The food was plentiful and excellent. Everyone who worked there was genuinely interested in their guests. Even though our room was very clean, the bathroom tile and other parts of the rooms needed some serious updating. From what I understand, the current managers will not be there after January 2017. What...

We have given this guest house 5 stars based on hospitality and food. Firstly, the hosts are fantastic and we very welcoming on arrival, we had already been impressed by the resident tour company GAP Tours (please see separate review). The food, you must take the evening meal if you have the opportunity. The food is throughly thought out by...

The owners (Carol and Gavin) were extremely helpful and friendly! Room is spacious, and the property is beautiful (boutique feel)! All activities (Panorama Route, Kruger Safari, airport transfers) were well-organized, food was delicious, and driver/guide was experienced in the game drive (and super punctual too)! The property is located in a lemon orchard (abt 20 min from Kruger gate), but...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Laughing Waters Guest House in Hazyview is tucked away in the heart of the picturesque Sabie Valley on the banks of the Sabie River. Journey through the lemon trees to arrive in a beautiful sub-tropical garden, surrounded by tall trees and populated with an abundance of birds, Laughing Waters Guest House is a quiet haven, with a familiarity and comfort that makes you feel quite at home.On checking into Laughing Waters Guest House Hazyview, one will be settling into a retreat that boasts high archways, and a Tuscan ambience, a building that evokes an antiquated awe. Through the landscaped courtyard one will find their room with views of the beautiful surroundings. The location of Laughing Waters Guest House, close to the river, ensures slightly cooler temperatures within the valley; this comfortable micro climate makes Laughing Waters Guest House especially welcoming for a Lowveld destination in the hot summer months. The riverine forest and indigenous bush surrounding the farm, the proximity to Hazyview and the Kruger National Park and the occasional sighting of hippos makes Laughing Waters Guest House feel slightly "wild," but still very civilised! We have an in-house tour operator to assist with any tours / transfers you need planned. ... more   less
