Good hostel on the end of town. Joseph is very kind and helpful. Well equiped kitchen. Clean dormitory and basic shower with toillet. Short way for shopping (SPAR) and to restaurants. We are family with 3 children 10-14.

Valley view is a hostel in a very nice area with beautiful nature close by. The hostel itself is basic but clean and with a nice staff. Any extras will be charged. (WiFi, towel) the room was spacious and clean but with the enormous bright light not very cozy. Overall a great place to stay.

We ended up extending our stay here due to weather and were glad we did. We stayed in the rondavel two nights (the best accommodation on site!) and then one night in a basic cabin without a bath (an excellent value). We used the shared braai area for our meals. The hostel is situated on a quiet street with a...

We've spent 2 nights at Valley View and would have stayed longer if only the weather would have been better these days.. We really loved our rondavel with its own kitchen, bathroom, living room and comfortable bedroom - a little bit off the other accommodation and situated in a beautiful garden. Like that, we had our own private house, still...

Graskop Valley view is a small and quite hostel. Bedrooms are ok if you are not looking for luxuries. The great point of this place is his owners. Joseph is better than a tourist information bureau, he gave us some valuable advices to visit the valley and the places recommended where really stunning. Our tals with him after the trip...

Nice and quiet place for backpackers. Except that I arrived a foggy raining day and it was freezing in the dormitory and the bathroom. But the second day was sunny and everything was perfect. Wifi is not included in the rooms price but total price still cheap

I stayed here with my dad and brother on a road-trip from Cape Town along the Garden Route and up to Kruger. The backpackers overlooks the hills and is about an hours drive from the gates to Kruger. We had a fantastic time here enough to extend our stay. We met students from Deutschland and American Peace Corps volunteers and...

Stayed in the rondavel and had a wonderful time. Great spot to visit the panorama route and Blyde canyon. Melinda and Joseph were absolutely lovely hosts! Excellent value for money and recommendable to anybody staying in the region. We stopped here on our way to Kruger.

Our stay at Valley View is in our top 3 of best stays in 6 months of traveling the world. Seldom did we feel more welcomed by or connected to the beautiful owners Melinda and Joseph. And their lovely staff member Lily. We will never forget her "Hellooo, my darling!" in the morning. Hard working Joseph, ofttimes with hammer and...
