We stayed for 3 nights and it was a great pleasure. Albert , Cisca and their charming assistent will do anything to make your life comfortable. Spacious room with even a small terrace, a great breakfast, lucious garden, many informations about what to see/do: it was a pitty having to leave...

My wife and I stayed at this place during our honey moon. Both Albert and Ciska gave us a warm welcome, the team paid some additional attention to our honey moon trip and were available for questions we had during our three night stay. Lastly, the room and guest itself are clean and good looking.

This is a very cosy guesthouse with Dutch owners. The place is neat and the rooms are spacious. The garden is large and home to many animals including sometimes hippos in the night. The breakfast service is good but only starts at 8 am which implied that we could never use it due to our excursions. The take away breakfast is nothing special. We enjoyed our stay and the friendliness of the personel including the owners.

Thank you for this lovely review, we enjoyed hosting the two of you! Unfortunate that you missed most breakfasts but at least you had a lot of fun early-morning activities. Hope you enjoy the rest of your holiday :)!

We had an excellent 3 night stay! The hosts were very kind and helpful, giving us all the information at check in. They booked 2 tours for us and arranged pick up etc. On the first day we went out for the day and they provided us with a coolbox which was great. After receiving some personal sad news Cisca and Albert were very considerate and showed us their sympathy which was much appreciated. They advised us not to walk the streets at night because of the hippos and I guess that was good advise. On our first night we came across a huge hippo while we were having dinner and I was glad we weren't walking on the street. The rooms were very nicely decorated and spacious and the gardens are simply lovely! Load shedding wasn't a real problem because they had a good back up system. And ... the omelettes were the best we ever had (the lady that took the order was very lovely and smiley). Will stay again!

We had a wonderful experience at Elephant Coast Guest House. The location is beautiful & the accommodations perfect. The hosts were friendly & very knowledgeable about things to do in the area. They went the "extra mile" in helping guests with special breakfasts for early game park departures, or other special needs. They even helped us get our rental car exchanged for a new one when ours wouldn't start! We would definitely stay here again if we have the opportunity, and we highly recommend it to others.

We started our holiday here and it could not have been a better start! Everybody was extremely friendly and helpful. You can book your excursions here, get tips and recommendations for the region and places to eat. After a long day you can hop in the pool or just enjoy the garden to relax. The room was really nice with a very comfy bed. You'll have enough space to unpack and have cold drinks in your Minibar every day. No worries about mosquitoes as there are fly screens and grids against monkeys, so you can safely sleep with open windows. If we come back to St Lucia, we will definitely stay here again!

We arrived pretty late due an Elephant encounter we experienced that day. As it was already dark, Albert told us that it could be very dangerous as the hippo's come out of the water at night ... We stayed for 2 nights and we had a great stay. Ciska and Albert are really kind hosts, their staff was exceptionel and helpful in every way. The cold breakfast buffet was pretty limited but the eggs and the bacon were really delicious! We recommend! By the way, we drove 5 minutes around in the city centre at night and we spotted a hippo next to our car! Amazing ! Only in Africa :D

We would highly recommend the guest house, the owners Cisca and Albert and staff were very helpful. The location is only 10 mins walk from center of the village. Rooms are very good and the garden is very nice. Restaurant and local trip recommendations from Cisca, including booking support, were very helpful. We were fortunate enough to see a hippo walking along the road near the house when we returned from a restaurant. Oant sjen.

We stayed for 2 nights and loved it! All thanks to Cisca & Albert (owners) and the staff! All very friendly and helpful. If we ever return to the iSimangliso area, we definitely want to stay here again! Tops - the check- in came with good and extensive explanation of where to eat, activities in and around the area of iSimangliso and overall (safety) tips - it was very easy to book activities (without extra charge) - laundry service is very good fast: hand in at breakfast, receive back in the afternoon - delicious breakfast with fresh cooked breakfast on demand personalized to your liking - musquito/fly nets are placed everywhere: over the food at the breakfast bar, over the bed, along side the building windows. Very comforting to have that, since you stay in a higher risk malaria area - very comfortable, clean and tidy rooms with good daily housekeeping - furniture and interior design are fairly new and look good and clean One (minor) tip: - coffee during breakfast was fine. You can grab as much pre brewed coffee as you'd like from a thermos. At other B&B's we stayed in South Africa we got a personal perculator (fresh coffee). This would have made the breakfast experience even better! All in all would definitely recommend!
