From the minute I spoke to the owner Mandy to the minute I was dropped off at the airport, I was treated like a family member by everyone associated with At Heritage House. I spent a week last month here celebrating my 50th birthday, on my own. However, I felt very safe and looked after by Thea and her staff. They’ve arranged flowers, cake and a card for my birthday along with gifts from the management for my birthday. My room was excellent. It was spacious, immaculate, was cleaned every day. The outside area was beautifully set out with undercover seating for breakfast and a small pool. Pool towels are provided in the room as well. It is not far from the main road, where all the restaurants and shops are. What makes this fantastic accommodation fabulous is the manageress, Thea. She treats everyone like her family and takes time help the guests. I was on my own, she came with me every night to dinner and took me on Hippo hunt after. Thea also sells beautiful souvenirs at the property for very reasonable price. I feel that I now have a friend for life.…

We didn’t spend much time in the house as we got up at 4.30am both mornings to go on safari. However the beds were super comfy and the house had all the amenities we needed. The outside patio was particularly lovely. The pool is more of a plunge pool so probably nice after a hot safari. We ended up doing a half day safari two days in a row as we were desperate to see a lion (our guide Zayne was particularly good). Although we didn’t manage to catch lions we did see elephants, giraffes, Cape buffalo and loads of rhinos! We also did the hippo boat cruse with the hugely knowledgeable Heynie which was great. The safari through the wetlands was disappointing but that may be due to the huge storm which closed some of the roads.

One of the most memorable experiences of my life. The service was impeccable: breakfast was great, room fabulous, staff great(Thea was very helpful and patient), safari drivers were just amazing: educational, intelligent, inspirational....... Location is fab and I saw a hippo in town last night. Breathtaking scenery. The house is home from home with caring and attentive staff. If you plan to visit St Lucia then Heritage House is best place to go!

Heritage house is a step back into old world charm and service. A delightful place to stay with friendly welcoming staff. The rooms were spacious and very clean, beds are large and comfortable. Each morning we were served a scrumptious breakfast with our dietary needs catered for. Special mention to the house staff and management Lee, Zanelle and Thea. We had a very enjoyable stay.

First of all, go to heritage tours & safari website. You wont regret it. I ended up staying at heritage house because of the 3-day safari all inclusive experience (and i got assigned to stay at this b&b) and the whole package was totally worth it. They go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable. LOVED the included breakfast. It was a cute b&b personal feel - staying in a house with only a few rooms. Great location, close the Mckenzie rd which is where all the restaurants & shops are. And although we didnt see the hippos ourselves, its a good location to spot them. The lady he cooks for them is maybe the one of the best muffin makers lol (im not a muffin person but man!). We ended up loving it SO much in St Lucia that we cut out 6-night safari package at Zulu Nyala short after 2 nights and cane back to St Lucia (while they had fancy accommodations; it was too restrictive and expensive and they didnt do the nice included coffee/muffin/breakfast stops during the big 5 safari tour, you just felt like you were nickel & dimed). Heritage offers tours for iSimangaliso & iMfolozi/hluhluwe big 5 park & cape vidal, hippo/croc, ETC. you can buy the safari packages or do them a la carte (i recommend package because they perfectly planned it out for you & then we added a night drive a la cart, recommend doing with owner). lots of ways to enjoy your time here and heritage was great at providing recommendations. They had a laundry service too which we def needed. Thank you to all the staff that works hard to make our experience amazing!…

My friends and I had an amazing time at Heritage House and in the tours. The house was gorgeous and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. They prepared an amazing breakfast for us and cleaned our rooms while we were on the safari tours. On the first day, we missed a tour that was part of the package but they graciously offered us a refund for the missed tour. I absolutely loved the experience and the tours and I would do it again.

Our group of 3 couples came to St. Lucia as part of a 3 week trip to S. Africa, and we came mainly to see hippos. We also scheduled a Zulu cultural tour. We selected @Heritage House mainly based on reviews, and we were not disappointed. This small guest house sits in a quiet residential area just off the main drag, and within easy walking of many restaurants. The rooms are nicely sized and quite comfortable with all the amenities including wifi. The breakfast area is on the porch, but with enclosures for inclimate weather, of which we had only one day. There are the usual cereals and breads plus hot items cooked to request, all served by a very kind and welcoming staff. Entertainment is provided by the "naughty" vervet monkeys that try to steal food from the buffet. Thea and her staff are extremely accommodating and helpful - can't say enough!. Only downside, and this applies to all of SA, are the twice a day "loadshedding" events, with no grid power for 2 hr periods, but the inn has backup power for lights and other essentials. We saw lots of hippos on our boat tour of lake st lucia, but, alas, none in the town. Our tour of a nearby Zulu villiage with Mpume of Theo Tours, was outstanding and went far beyond our expectations. What was billed as a 3 hour tour ended up lasting all day, and she took us to her family"s home and her own, cooked us a meal of typical SA and Zulu foods, and entertained us with dancing by a group of girls that she mentors. If you come here, seek her out. Heritage Tours can hook you up! We would highly recommend @Heritage House.…
