I've stayed at many safari lodges in South Africa and other countries and I can safely say that Tshukudu is well up there with the best. Whilst not on a large private concession it is on its own small private area, and we were fortunate to find a pride of 11 lions prowling across it; being private, we had exclusive...

Being our first visit to SA we are so grateful that we went to Pilansberg for our main game viewing experience. Tshukudu Lodge was an unknown however it quickly became apparent we were fortunate to be there for many reasons and why we would return. Yes the setting up on the hill so you look out over the water hole...

The property and safari experience exceeded my expectations. Quiet, relaxing, great food and amazing safari drives led by Shawn. Her knowledge of the park and the animals is top-notch. Saw 4 of the Big 5 and many more. Shawn and the staff made me feel welcome, pampered and safe. Exchanging notes on safari experience with the other guests over drinks...

The lodge is made up of a small number of rooms perched on top of a hill with amazing views over the park. Our driver who transported us from the airport dropped us at the main lodge on the outskirts of the reserve and we were then driven to our lodge in the park at around 2pm. We had a...

We have visited Pilensberg a number of times but this is the best place to stay if you do not have children or elderly people. The position is outstanding, sitting on a rocky outcrop overlooking the plain and a super water hole. The game drives with Shawn are the best we have done, she is knowledgeable, enthusiastic and certainly is...

This was my second stay there and it is still my favorite safari lodge so close to Johannesburg. They have extended a little with 2 or 3 new and comfortable rooms with their tiny pool on private terraces. Comparing to ten years ago, the only difference was that we had the feeling of a more crowded reserve. ( that has...
