The weather this time of the year is normally very sunny open days with limited clouds, temperatures ranging from overnight lows of 14 degrees Celsius to highs of 26/7 degrees Celsius. Weather prediction for the period up to 2 May includes only two days with changes of light rain (27 and 28 April). Currently it is very hot in Cape Town (up to 30 degrees Celsius). Always good idea to have umbrella or light jacket with you in Cape Town as weather can change quickly. Most of the times- even on open sunshine days it can be very cold on Table Mountain with wind and clouds coming in over mountain- so take a jacket or sweatshirt. Or buy one on top of mountain like I had to. At present Cape Town is experiencing a very severe drought- so water is very precious. Normally the rainy season in Cape Town starts about end April- so you will be visiting outside of the winter rainfall period. Enjoy it!!
