The cottage is very well situated with a splendid view on Green Point. The hosts are friendly and give good advice. Breakfast is excellent. Good starting point for the table mountain, lions' headc Chapmans' Peak and the Waterfront.

I stayed 8 nights at the Guesthouse, I really enjoyed my stay there. The owners, Aissa and Ugetha were super kind and helpful, had absolutely delicious breakfast, when I had to leave early they made sure I had packed breakfast. The room was always clean and not to mention I had the best view in Cape Town. I would highly...

The sisters will go the 5 extra miles (no joke!!) to make you feel welcome, give you a lot of hints about the place, the surroundings and the city. The decoration style is classical, with a classy hint of a colonial / old school era look, the view from both terraces is fantastic. Avoid if physically disabled: the stairs are...

We spent only one night at the Bluegum Hill but really appreciated our stay. Very warm welcome, breathtaking view over the bay, nice (and warm!) swimming pool, delicious breakfast, comfortable room, quiet area. We really appreciated our host's help and support. She is very kind, and much more. She is particularly focused on her guests and she made us feel...

We felt very well cared for at Bluegum hill guest house! Ughetta welcome us warmly and guided us through some dinner options and gave us some suggestions on activities in the area. She even booked us on a peninsula tour within 15 minutes of our arrival. Wonderful service! Very clean house, stunning views, great location, hot breakfast in the morning,...

Bluegum Hill is a small boutique B&B yet you feel as if you are staying in a classy hotel. Great location with an even better view. Run by two sisters, Alissa and Ughetta who work tirelessly to make their guests feel welcome and your stay as easy as possible. The other staff (kitchen, house and garden) are equally good and...

This Guest House is on the side of Signal Hill, Cape Town and even when there was a concert happening in the stadium below we weren't bothered by the sounds. Lovely walk through safe area down to the Waterfront in the morning after good fresh-cooked breakfast on the veranda with stunning view. Sister hosts Aissa and Ughetta are always there...

Rather late in posting this review of three great nights we had at Blue Gum in November 2016. The views are spectacular and pool deck a pretty place so relax after a day out. Rooms are a bit smaller than other guest houses we stayed at and you do hear other guests walking about but we didn't mind this because...

Visited Bluegum Hill Guesthouse three years ago (see my other review). What I really like is that they have the same standard now as three years ago even they have become very popular. The breakfast on the balcony is perfect before digging into Cape Town. It is spotlessly clean. Good security. Both sisters is very helpful and make the guests...

The view from this guesthouse over Capetown is spectacular. The Guesthouse itself is beautiful, classical Oregon Pine everywhere. The breakfast and the wine choice is very good and everybody is very friendly and caring.
