Lionscape probably has some of the best views I've experienced in Cape Town accommodation. Sundowners on the upstairs balcony is an unbeatable way to end a long hot day of sightseeing. The rooms are very comfortable and completely separate from the owners' living areas. Zephney and Paul are great hosts and know Cape Town inside out. This would be a...

Lionscape is located in a quiet residential area that is easy walking distance from many restaurants, bars and cafes. You can wake up to a sunrise over Table Bay and the City Bowl as you eat breakfast on the balcony. Table Mountain and Lions Head can also be seen and as the sun sets you can see Table Mountain changing...

I just needed to do some work in Cape Town for a few days and found Lionscape here on TA. Paul and Zephney were so incredibly nice and hospitable, and it was great working on the wireless internet with views of the City Bowl. They also offered incredibly fair pricing because as Paul said "He treats people as he would...

Don't expect much luxary, rooms, bathrooms and breakfast are basic but ok. Great views of Cape Town (if there isn't to much smog), 10' walk to some good restaurants, very close to Table mountain. And Paul makes a good host.

As value guest houses go this is the best. First the location. Fantastic views of Cape Town City from Tamberskloof Hill at the rear blacony and Table Mountain and Lion's Head to the front. Very safe comfortable locality. The town centre is walkable in about 30-40 minutes down the hill. The hosts Paul and Zephany welcome you into their home...

Paul and his wife made us feel extremely welcome from the start. They have lots of local inside knowledge which was exactly what we needed when we had little time for exploring ourselves during our short stay. The rooms are perfect for a group of a few friends, the view from the balcony is a great place for having breakfast....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
POSSIBLY THE BEST VIEW a guest can find in Tamboerskloof. This small, quiet b&b is tucked away on the slopes of Lion’s Head in Tamboerskloof. The longer you stay the cheaper it gets; there are discounts for larger groups and no single supplement is charged. The owner, Zephney, has lived here for 47 years so there isn’t much she does not know about Cape Town, past or present. We look forward to seeing you. ... more   less
