Decided to splurge at The Chef' Table! Only seating 12 and in an alcove in the kitchen this is a unique experience. As the only 2 people on the Saturday night we had the place to ourselves and had a lot of attention from the chefs, hostess and waitress. The food is a five courses with wine pairings - all...

We stayed at the Mount Nelson for six nights and enjoyed all of our stay! The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. The rooms were very comfortable and the grounds were very nice, and even if the pool area was a bit windy it was perfect! Don't be put off by the slightly overwhelming pink, the interior is very classy....

We visited the 'Pink Palace' (as my commentator colegue puts it) on a sunny Cape Town sightseeing day just out of curiosity. We found a heaven in greenery, attentively manicured gardens, beautiful spa and wonderful pool. Although we didnot stay at this hotel this time we asked to see different types of rooms for our next CT visit. The reception...

What a delight to find such a hotel in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Cape Town. The hotel is old but has been excellently maintained and the rooms are superb. We were upgraded to a beautiful suite with breathtaking views of Signal hill. The service is superb as is the food. I will be staying here again...

I really liked this 'pink palace' and the grounds of the hotel are vast & beautiful. Very exclusive hotel with accommodation options scattered throughout. The suites are very old world glamour and an afternoon high tea is a MUST DO if visiting Cape Town! Not on the waterfront but still great location close to the city centre.

We had a wonderful stay at the Mount Nelson for part of our honeymoon. The breakfast was delicious with many different options as well as champagne, smoothies and juices. The beds were extremely comfortable also. The head concierge, Byron, was such a delight and took amazing care of us! He was able to get us reservations at a few popular...

I was here in July and had the most amazing time at the hotel, The service is amazing, staff very well trained, and the hotel itself such a beauty. Fantastic hotel. The rooms are lovely, with the most comfortable beds. Great choice of food, juices and teas available at breakfast. Unfortunately we didn't have time for afternoon tea, but I did see the food laid out and it looked wonderful. The grounds are lovely. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The Mount Nelson is a beautiful hotel with olde world charm. The gardens are impeccable and very inviting to sit out in the late afternoons and just relax. The service at the hotel is always professional and attentive. Just love it here.
