Stayed in a modernised cottage. Friendly and helpful reception area and staff. Delightful accommodation; very clean, small lounge/diner/kitchen downstairs and huge bedroom upstairs, with shower, bath and wc. Self catering worked very well (decent supermarket only 200m away) but plenty of bars and restaurants nearby and V&A Waterfront is only 20 minutes walk iof you want more variety.

BEWARE!! I stayed 10nights in an apartment at 28 Dixon Street with my mum and while the reception staff were lovely I had the unfortunate experience of having more than US$540 stolen from the apartment safe. As it was money that I wasn't using ( I had sufficient Rands to spend and probably had some of those stolen as well)...

This is not a hotel. You will be staying in a condo with a kitchen, small living room and a bedroom. There was no room service while we stayed there, so don't expect anybody to clean your room daily. The area around this development is pretty safe with 24/7 security. The manager will help you with making reservations (wine country...

This is honestly the best place to stay. I have rented apartments literally 6 times. The apartments are if very high standard, very clean and staff are amazing. I love this area .. Lots of little cafes .. manhatten pub... Cape quadrant shopping mall which is full of trendy boutiques and restaurants. Definitely would give 10 out of 10

I stayed here for a week and really enjoyed it. The staff was amazing. My apartment was beautiful and spacious. I had a small kitchen so I was able to get groceries down the street and cook a bit. Since I was here for business, it was frustrating that there was only wifi in the reception and I would have...

We had booked a 3 bedroom apartment for 2 couples, believing we would have at least 2 fair sized bedrooms but what we got was 1 double with ensuite and 2 very small twin rooms & a shared bathroom so we were not so happy on arrival. The downstair's lounge diner was a fair size with fully equipped kitchen. Our...

On arrival I was greeted by Dorian who welcomed me with warmth and a wonderful sense of humor. After explaining to me how the accommodation worked, he handed me welcome packets with coffee and tea and bathroom essentials. Dorian then directed me to where our apartment was situated. Do not expect that your accommodation to be in one complex/building, it...

We stayed for 4 night over new year and were in studio 11 in the Charles building. It was recently renovated and stunning looking. The staff were, as always amazing and you could not ask for a better location. (Especially if you are gay!) There are a few glitches regarding the newly renovated room. The ceiling fan could only be...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Colourful De Waterkant Village is a unique European influenced village of semi-detached quaint cottages and cobbled streets preserved from the 1760's. Cradled between the city and the V&A Waterfront, De Waterkant Village is avant-garde, a cultural urban refuge highlighted by the abundance of restaurants, art galleries, clubs, salsa clubs, tapas bars and Parisian inspired cafe's. Drawing comparisons from cultural and artistic villages from all over the world, De Waterkant embraces individuality and theatricality, echoed in the architecture and vibrancy of its residents and visitors. From serviced apartments, houses, guest houses and traveller's rooms De Waterkant Village has it all and lodgings at the village are as diverse and eclectic as the place itself. In keeping with the feel of an authentic traveller's village, guests can enjoy services and facilities when staying in apartments or houses, such as a service centre, concierge, housekeeping and breakfast at The Village Cafe every morning. ... more   less
