The hostel is located a bit outside of the city center in an area where I wouldn't feel comfortable walking around as a tourist. The woman at the reception was quite friendly, but she was smoking non-stop so the whole house was smelling of smoke. Although there were quite a few beds, I was almost the only person sleeping in...

Located in an area of town a few blocks from long street - the first piece of advice we got on arrival from the people who worked there was NEVER to leave the hostel after dark as its too dangerous an area. The hostel itself is above a dingy pub with no reception. We went through the pub upstairs to...

So unless you sleep at day and stay awake at night, don't go. I don't have anything positive to say, other...

I stayed here in March of 2013. This hostel seemed like it was in sort of a sketchy neighborhood… according to word of mouth it use to be a stripclub. The place smelled like cigarette smoke. The room is nothing to look at, looks like a prison cell with zero comfort, zero charm or anything to help it a little...

I would not recommend this backpackers for most people. Firstly, there is no real reception, you enter a door next to a pub. If the door is locked you have to either call the number, or try to get someone in the pub to help you. Quite inconvenient. We stayed over a weekend and there was a very loud party...

This is my final stay overseas after traveling for 11 months and this hostel is completely worth everything you get for the cost of it! It's clean. It's friendly and it's right near everything!! I totally recommend it!!

We stayed at Anzac for about a week in March 2013. It is a bit hard to find and not well marked. It is above a bar and a dance club which can prove to be quite loud on Friday nights. However, we absolutely loved our time at Anzac. We met some really great people. It is an extremely small...
