Everything about Blackheath was amazing - helpful staff, delicious breakfast, clean and comfortable rooms, great location near the water, able to book day trips easily through hotel. First time in the Cape and would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it. Thank you Blackheath!

Loved everything about Blackheath Lodge. The staff couldn't have been better! We took two tours that we had scheduled for the Wine country and the Cape. The guides for each one were SUPER! Very informative and very personable. The food was great every day. The room was very nice sized (there are some different options), the bathroom spacious and very...

I would normally have rated this hotel a 4 just because the rooms are not as luxurious as some others I have stayed in. However their rooms are extremely comfortable. While small we never felt crowded as the design of the two rooms we stayed in provided ample storage for our luggage and stuff. In our second room which they...

Had an amazing 5 nights here as part of our honeymoon. The service and attention to detail is second to none. Rooms are immaculate and very comfortable. Staff are great. Food is amazing. If I can say anything negative (which is very hard). It isnt the greatest location, you will need a taxi to V&A waterfront as well as centre...

My husband and I started our trip to South Africa in Cape Town and spent 5 nights at Blackheath Lodge, and it was absolutely perfect! A lovely, quaint boutique hotel in a central location in the heart of the cape. The room was beautifully decorated and cozy, and the dining/pool areas are so charming and cute. Being a small hotel,...

We had 5 wonderful nights at BHL. All of the staff are friendly, helpful, pleasant and professional. They go out of their way to ensure you have a wonderful visit. Nice touches such as a mobile phone to use, pre-programmed with their number and a taxicab company. Also use of an iPad for researching. BHL is very central to everything...

In truth, the eggs were just as perfect as everything else during our two stays at Blackheath Lodge. This well located boutique hotel is run as if a home away from home by very friendly and highly efficient staff and managers who offered banter and helpful travel tips for Cape Town, and even beyond. The rooms are comfortable and the...

We stayed at the Blackheath Lodge for eight days. From the moment we arrived, service was exceptional. We were greeted with a welcome drink and Joshua (whom I repeatedly called Jonathan, sorry about that!!) provided us with a map and suggested places to go. Mamie, Portia and Brighton provided fantastic breakfast every day. Sometimes our friends were picking us up...

My wife and I recently took a trip to Capetown, South Africa. After reading such great reviews, we decided to book 4 nights at the Blackheath Lodge. We were VERY glad we did! Upon arrival (tired from LONG flights from the U.S.) we were greeted and checked in by a very helpful and attentive staff. We sat down and had...
