Rooms are small and without any fresh air. The view from the rooftop is beautiful, but the furniture and the plastic grass look very cheap. Do you want to sit in a jacuzzi in the smell of old frying oil? Location is great with lots of restaurants around, but the hotel is not

The location is perfect. The view of table mountain from the room and the rooftop bar absolutely breathtaking!!! Service was great, room very pretty (We were in a heritage room) and the neighbourhood has a great vibe. The whole Kloofnek area is lovely with lots of restaurants.

Great view but worst service! We waited 50 minutes for our drinks (a glass of wine and a sparkling water)..we had to tell the waiter 2times that he forgot us.. the pizza came after ONE hour COLD!! And we didn’t even have plates or forks nothing not even a napkin. Really bad.

We stayed at Cloud 9 for 4 nights. The hotel is in a great location (easy to get to Table Mountain and also a short cab ride to V&A etc) plus loads of great restaurants nearby. The rooms are really nice and very comfortable and the hotel itself is stylish and well done. However,

We spent 1 week in this hotel. Location is really great, nice area, lots of restaurants very close (basically less than 3 min for at least 6 of them). Room was nice, quite spacious and comfortable. Overall, staff was nice and helpful. (Appart from the night receptionist who was

The waterfront is a bus ride or a short taxi ride. The Hotel is closer to the Table Mountain location than the waterfront. I do not recall a water kettle, but the staff is extremely accommodating. As to the best room for you - since we stayed in one room and were a couple, I am not sure I can answer. Again I suggest you communicate your concerns to the Hotel staff

Are guests allowed to use the pool during the water shortage?
Our main swimming pool on the rooftop bar will stay open. Hotel Cloud9 has further implemented the following water saving measures: • Tap aerators have been installed in hand basins • Bath plugs have been removed • Laundry operations have been reduced - linen is changed every 3-4 days only • Laundry will be outsourced to ‘borehole’ laundry operator • We educate guests in welcome letters and with posters to save water • All bottled water for resale at the hotel is sourced from areas unaffected by the drought • Our rooftop swimming pool will be topped up with harvested water and/or non-municipal water purchased from outlying areas unaffected by drought. • Free drinking water in coolers is available to guests and is sourced from outlying areas unaffected by drought. We have a minimum of 2500L bottled water in safe storage. • We are fresh water in tanks with a total capacity of 12.500L. If necessary we will refill them with water sourced from areas unaffected by drought. • Downstairs swimming pool can be converted to an additional water reservoir with a capacity of 7500L Summary: based on council statements we don’t expect disruptions in water supply but if this happens we have 20.000L available from our reservoirs to guarantee uninterrupted supply to our rooms in addition to 2500L bottled drinking water. Refilling will happen from non-municipal sources.
