The hotel is in a old turbine building, completely renovated. Signs and items from the history are well integrated into a modern and cozy surrounding. The staff is extremely kind and professional, everybody with a smile. The food is also great and Knysna is really a lovely city. Me and my husband really loved it!

Always great stay. Feel welcome every time I return. Excellent location in Knysna. Friendly staff. Good rooms. Great menu. Only improvement I can recommend is bit higher water pressure. Will go back there next time again....

Renovations everywhere and 10 waiters having a chat instead of providing a 5 star service. High price low service. When the hotel is in maintenance mode it needs to shut down or provide a heavy discount to keep high paying customers happy that don't get a 5 star service. Even some locals we met mentioned they used to come here...

The hotel is in a great location service could be a little sharper but overall OK. We stayed in room 104 which I read had some poor reviews but as the manager said in his response the building is the building. We hired a bicycle which needs some serious TLC before it's hired out again.

On the way to your room, halls are filled with history of building. Rooms are spacious, clean and have nice air-conditioning. Definitely money's worth. The décor is both modern with a touch of rustic, very stylish. Excellent service and overall very satisfied with the stay.

This is the second boutique hotel I stayed at garden route and I didn't regret to choose this hotel. It is very small and nice hotel that contains of only 24 rooms and the interior designer did an excellent work by preserving and mixing the heritage of the old turbine station with a new boutique hotel as you will see...

We loved this hotel on Thesen Island, Knysna. Amazing decor, very stylish indeed. Our room was well appointed, with a fab view over the pool and waterways, but very small indeed. All the public spaces were so uniquely decorated we loved wandering around the hotel. Loved the breakfast area and the food was just delicious. For our 2 night stay...

If location, luxury and life-style are your holiday priorities, then this hotel will tick all the boxes! We felt relaxed immediately on arrival, and left refreshed & rejuvenated ... we SHALL return! The only suggestion we have to offer is to replace the carpeting in the passages to the rooms - really not in keeping with the hotel's decor, and...

The Food was tasty for both dinner and breakfast - and staff friendly and professional. So close to everything shops and the waterfront as well as other restaurants...
