Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed in a two bedroom accommodation with en suite to master bedroom. Was all clean and had everything we needed for a lovely few days. Joined by a fishing heron most mornings. Just a short walk to the shops and restaurants at the Quays. Property had WiFi and a big garage, secure access, thoroughly recommended and good value.

5th visit, each time a different apartment. They are all very comfortable, well equipped and have a beautiful view over the Quays from a private balcony. There is secure parking under the apartments and they are serviced daily. Shops and restaurants on your doorstep. They have wifi and our unit had aircon in the bedroom and all the tv channels. There is a braii and a table and chairs on the balcony for al fresco dining. Excellent staff to help you when required.

No3 Spinnaker, The Quays is ideal for a small family visit. The apartment is facing a canal and is at the waterfront which has numerous restaurants. Not far from the apartment one can get boat rides in and around to The Knysna Heads. Hosts are very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Our stay was wonderful and enjoyable.

Have been visiting this accomodation on a regular basis over the years. This last trip was our fifth time. Obviously rebooking on a regular basis we were more than happy to return. This year however the unit was dirty and on bringing this to the management attention, was dismayed in their handling of the matter. This is in an ideal spot however the lady who dealt with us was so rude in allowing me to explain my concerns that I in all honesty could not recommend this accommodation to anyone .We have since sent a written complaint, with no reply. In conclusion we will never use this company again.

We rented a 3 bedroom house in the Knysna Quays. The house is just 200m away from the Knysna Waterfront, and wow, we had such a super 5 night stay there. The house was clean, modern and very comfortable, with a lovely veranda opening onto the Marina. There was a gas braai and a full suite of DSTV channels. We will definitely be going back.

We have been coming here for 4 years now and it is wonderful to be right on the beautiful Waterfront with your own balcony and braii. We like Protea hotels but the one here has no balconies and the opportunity for self catering in this little town is marvellous. This year they have even added wifi and as it wasn't busy the apartment was cleaned every day at no extra charge. The apartments vary depending on what the individual owners have added. Some have dishwashers and aircon but all are very comfortable. The parking is great, your own secure spot right below your apartment. They are all managed very professionally by the letting agents who have their office in the shop on the waterfront. Any issues are dealt with immediately and nothing is too much trouble. If you are driving the garden route do allow several days to stop and enjoy this town. There are so many things to do and places to see which are spectacular. Thanks to Kenny, Violet and all the staff for another wonderful stay.

Absolutely beautiful accommodation right in the heart of the Knysna Quays Waterfront. Close to restaurants and shops. We stayed in Unit 19, which is a one bedroom unit. It was immaculate, clean, well stocked and had everything you could possibly need. We were directly across the water canal from 34 South which is a restaurant we love. The bed was super comfy and all the staff we encountered were friendly and efficient. Secure underground basement parking which is easy to get to with direct access into the building. I cant wait to go back. Honestly one of the nicest places I have stayed in in a long time!

Not all of the 3 bedroom houses are equal... We ended up staying in 2 different houses during our 3 night stay due to a burst geyser (hot water tank) in our first one. The first house was fantastic, clean and recently refurbished. Unfortunately the one we were put in after the burst water tank was a little dated, the bed configuration didn't work for our party of 6 (including children), there was no shower in the house (non-ensuite) bathroom, one fewer bathroom. We asked for a reduction to reflect this and was only offered 100 Rand per night, which didn't seem to adequately reflect the significant reduction in the standard of the accommodation. Also 2nd property not as clean and didn't have wifi. When the water tank burst in the first apartment neighbours and the maintenance man for Knysna Quays were extremely helpful and the plumber was there straight away, but unfortunately couldn't solve the problem that day. The plumbing fault was just bad luck, the response to it was initially great but the alternative accommodation didn't work out well for us. Only other comment is that I noticed that there were no smoke detectors in the properties (though there were in the other properties that we stayed in during our 2 weeks in S Africa). I would strongly recommend that these are installed.
