Very friendly and funny hosts. We had a late check in but that was no problem. We had a great stay in this small city. For a longer stay with 4 people a little to small and the kitchen has its years passed by but still functional. The bathroom should be renovated. We had chalet

Response from Notthesameanymore, Owner at Inyathi Guest Lodge
Responded 15 Jan 2019
Hi Mr Parthab, I see you are still unhappy with your booking choices, since you have made it your mission to negatively review us everywhere, but I’ll respond again to you, even though you chose not to stay with us. I am genuinely sorry we couldn't move you to another larger more comfortable chalet, but as it was the 3rd Jan, they were all booked. But it is spitefully deceptive of you to state that you were not given what you booked AND wholly untrue, that you were not informed that there would be bunk beds in your chalet, as you chose to book a chalet titled a 'budget two bedroom (with bunk beds)'. To wit, the bunk beds in the second bedroom are mentioned in the description, and booking.com includes icons of the bed configurations on the booking page when making your choice which is prior to confirmation and payment. There is also a photo of the bunk beds as the main picture of the chalet. In addition, straight after you booked, I emailed you a booking confirmation invoice where it states the ‘budget two bedroom chalet with bunk beds’. So I am not sure how much clearer I can make it for you, but for future reference, when the title of the room says bunk beds, then usually it will have bunk beds in the room. Also when you booked your budget two bedroom chalet with bunk beds, there were two other larger two bedroom chalets available to book (described as being with 2 single beds and not bunk beds), but YOU chose not to book either of them, possibly as they were slightly more expensive. The bunks were completely fine and rigid before you arrived (as I made the beds myself), but after you left, we went to check the room, and it looked like you had tried to disconnect/separate them and move them, as the bunks were moved away from the wall into the middle of the room, and all the bolts were loosened and undone... it really is not fair to THEN say they were rickety..... It is also concerning to us, that at the time you requested another chalet, you did NOT mention the ‘shaky’ bunk beds or any of the other MANY problems you seemed to now have with the room, other than the fact, that your adult sized children, could not sleep in bunk beds. The photos on the website you booked are exactly the same as posted with your review. The bunk beds are in the second bedroom, and the large (newly renovated and tiled bathroom), has a separate shower (with curtain) and large antique bathtub. The kitchen/lounge is described and pictured as such, as it is a budget backpacker unit (and priced as such). To end, here at Inyathi, we think that with the amount of information given, adults should be making up their own mind on whether the budget chalet is suitable for their stay, or whether to pay the minimal extra for the larger more spacious two bedroom chalet. Unfortunately for us though, it seems that price is the only denominator for some when booking, and then their poor decision, is shamefully moved on to us to defend ourselves, and potentially cost us our reputation and business, when the accommodation does not live up to the ambitious imagination of the booker. Yours Sincerely Helen & Riaan Louw
