Based on the experience from a previous visit we had planned for two nights at Red Stone Hills in our itinerary. Having left the (in our opinion) over-rated Garden Route earlier than planned, we were able to get one more night at Red Stone and the stay there turned out to be one of the best on our trip. The...

We stayed for four nights, and we found the place just so relaxing. We'd hike different trails during the day, or head into Outdshoorn. The mornings were wonderful with the sunrise on the hills, and the moon setting beyond them. The nights were very quiet and starlit. The birding is great. The cottage we stayed in was very clean and...

Our first visit to the Red Stone Hills Guest farm and we had an amazing time. Petro and her husband were most accommodating and friendly. Such busy people too. Petro does beautiful paintings which are present in the cottages. The scenery and the mountains were stunning and we found so many interesting shapes and faces in the mountains. Our cottage...

The Bushman cottage has the most spectacular view of all my cottages with the river flowing below the cottage. Thank you for this lovely review. Hope to see you again!

We were well welcomed, although we arrived fairly late on a Saturday. Our ordered food and braaipacks were ready for us. The farm lies within beautiful red conglomerate hills and the views are stunning. Although there were no ostrich chicks, we got an informal, but very informative "tour" to one of the ostriches that was breeding and had a nest...

Thank you for the positive review! We now have lots of small ostrich chicks. They hatched two days after you left! So cute. Hope to see you again.

We had a lovely stay at Red Stone Hills. Loved the proximity to the farm with nearby farm animals, sheep and ostrich. The large veranda was great for viewing the surrounding red hills and enjoying the sunsets. Cottages are well equipped and comfortable. Our little dog was welcomed. Meals were available on order but we had enough food with us....

My wife and I were blown away by this lovely little piece of heaven. The people who run it were kind and welcoming and the accommodation is fantastic. I would go back in a heart beat! They were also pet friendly and completely happy to let us bring our dog along :)

Beautiful spot. Great for hiking, biking, running. Did the Enon trail as my early morning (trail) run. Chilly cold, sun coming up over the mountain ridge, beautiful red rocks, fantastic. We stayed in the 'red rocks' cottage. Very comfortable. Thank you Pedro for warm hospitality (and the breakfast and prepared dinners!)

Thanks to Petro and Hermanus for a memorable stay in the Little Karoo. We stayed in Red Rock Cottage, which was well equipped for our self-catering stay. There was even an indoor braai. Even though it was the middle of winter, we were warm at night thanks to the cosy bedding. The cottage was beautifully situated, being nestled under a...
