We visited with our 2 yr old son and loved every part of our stay, the property and the Spoonbill house. The house is comfortable, spacious, well equipped and very well designed. The property is just as pictured with an excellent attention to detail and beautifully maintained. Martin took great care of us, accommodated all our requests and exceeded our expectations. I would particularly commend Martin and the team for their approach to safeguarding their guests, themselves and the property during the current health situation. We found their practical and sensible guidelines put us at complete ease during our stay. There are lots of activities to do on the property and close by for both adults and children. Although the facilities for children are excellent (our son didn’t want to leave) I would also recommend it for those without children as the property is spacious and the properties are cleverly designed to allow plenty of common and private areas. We very much hope to return!

We had the most perfect holiday at Casa Flor de Sal - we are already planning a return trip! First of all, it's just so easy to get to from Faro airport. The location is wonderful: stunning views and peaceful countryside but so close to Olhao and Fuseta for shopping, beach etc. The property itself is incredible. The house we stayed in was immaculate, really comfortable and incredibly well thought out - everything we needed was there. We loved both the roof terrace (for watching the sun go down and the storks come home to roost) and the downstairs patio (sunny breakfasts and lunches over looking the lake). Our 3.5 year old adored the swimming pool (as did I) and we had a couple of very relaxed days where we did nothing but play in the pool all day. Martin is a wonderful host, we felt so welcome and we were very well looked after. We cannot wait to go back and stay at Casa Flor de Sal again.

Just an utterly blissful place to stay! We hired a car from the airport, and it is easy to find following the directions given. There are plenty of supermarkets near by for stocking up on essentials (we found Jumbo to be the best). We spent a lot of time just 'hanging out' on the complex - at the pool or in the games area. Our daughter is 7, and there was plenty for her to do - the park area, or playing the Wii or table football. The pool is lovely. We had a paddle in the natural pool, but preferred the 'normal' one. Breakfast items such as yogurt, jam, cereal etc are left in your little house, and each morning fresh sourdough is delivered. We visited Faro (science museum and a ride on the little train) and Olhao (good pizza place!). We visited the beach one day. One word of warning, for those who might need it - mosquitos! My husband and I were both really badly bitten. Some people seem not to be botered by them, but they love both of us. If you do get bitten make sure you take lots of repellent and after bite stuff, and anti histamines! Don't let this put you off visiting here, just be prepared! We visited the lagoon and saw lots of Flamingos, and got up early one morning to see the sun rise. Our daughter helped to feed the rabbits and chickens (her highlight). If you want a relaxing holiday, with lazy day activities, but places to visit nearby - this is the place for you.

all very well except a detail, since after two years of spending our holidays there, you do not expect that for a glass that breaks from Ikea and you tell it, they charge 1.5 euros for the glass. and less after not cleaning ourselves t he day before to which we said nothing.
