We travelled to Hoyran Wedre 7 years ago and needed a break from this sad strange year.
Hoyran came up trumps once again.
A peaceful setting in a small hamlet in the mountains. Lovingly designed and built with stone and wood, decorated with hand picked antique furnishings.
Owned and run by a friendly and hospitable husband and wide team with help from Elif. Food cooked by Canan feeds the soul and is beyond delicious. Suleyman is always happy to show you walks and is a wonderful host.
There is a refreshing pool, lots of local walks, and everything one needs to retreat, take stock and refresh oneself.
Highly recommended- this is a very special place.

What a refreshing experience..
A fine blend of professional hospitality with genuine local Turkish touch, magnificent secluded location at a mountain village overlooking the sea, superb cuisine with fresh local produce and presentation, and service, theme rooms with attention to every detail, AND peace&quiet. Great pool is on site (with the great view), and but seaside fun is also possible if desired – with a pleasant drive of 20 minutes down to Demre, which we tried only for a day.
Regardless to say, we loved our stay. Already looking forward to our next visit again as early as this Fall, this time.... The owners of this boutique establishment are well-travelled genuine locals “enjoying” it for business and pleasure, keeping a fine balance of friendliness and allowing for privacy.
Thus, as much as I would like to keep it as ‘an own find’, I think the place deserves to be known&recognized further, and experienced…

Amazing guesthouse hidden in the mountains, remote from the hassle of seaside Turkey, a haven of peace that feels like backcountry provence. Peaceful atmosphere, beautiful infinite swimming pool overlooking the bay, stone buildings... But most of all hosts are amazingly welcoming and kind, always ready to help, with a huge smile on their faces. And the cook/host makes unforgettable turkish breakfast and dinner. An amazing and unforgettable stay. We super-highly recommend!!

Everything about this place is stunning from the grounds to the accommodations, the service, and the hosts. This is truly a treasure in Turkey. If you're looking for a getaway where you feel like you're in the middle of nowhere but then in reality you are close to everything, this is the place to go.
The hosts are so sweet, hard-working, and they will do whatever they can to make you feel comfortable and cared for.
They designed this place themselves and care for it themselves. You can tell they have put a lot of effort, hard work, and love in to this place to make it what it is. I don't know why it's only a 3 star hotel.

We stayed from 2 May to 7 May 2024 and we cannot recommend enough.
It is a magical place that we will definitely go back again and again. Property's design and authenticity, its location, beauty of its surrounding nature, proximity to amazing sites on Lycian Way, incredibly attentive and friendly staff, heavenly ambiance, fabulous quality of clientele they get, scrumptious food they offer with fresh and local ingredients are just few of the reasons why we are so impressed by this property.
They have a very selective clientele. If you are looking for a properly secluded, peaceful, authentic escape, this is it. It is on Lycian Way, in a village that is very secluded and off the beaten track. This gives you an unspoilt nature, great privacy, something that is not touristy. You can completely get unplugged and enjoy fabulous views, amazing hikes up to ancient rock tombs, idyllic nature walks, local and fresh food, amazing company of a selective clientele and more. Our stay was just marvellous and we had the most amazing time. We also made some amazing friends during the stay.
It is a kind of place where a very selective few finds it, and then they go back year after year, it's that kind of place that you would always want to go back. Very very special indeed. I cannot recommend it enough.

Hoyran Wedre fully deserves its 5 star rating on TA. If it was allowed I’d give it more! Rather than reiterating what others have said, let me add the following, firstly where else presents you with 10+ different jams at breakfast- not in intimidating quantity, just right so you wish to try them all, olive jam, sandalwood berry jam; and where else can you explore Lycian ruins on your doorstep with no one else around. Suleiman and Canan are wonderful hosts and ready with excellent advice. This is a flavour of real Turkey, but in the hands of a couple with professional experience who understand what’s needed to meet the requirements of international travellers. Highly recommended.

We spent two nights at Hoyran Wedre and will certainly return. It is a beautiful hotel in a lovely rural setting. Very stylish buildings and amazing views. Canan and Suleyman were fantastic hosts; we felt so welcome and at home. They gave us lots of useful information about the local area and Suleyman was kind enough to take us on a walk to the nearby lycian remains. The food was delicious - Turkish home cooking at its very best.

Süleyman and Canan have created a wonderful country retreat in the hills above the sea in a tiny Turkish village. Our hosts were super attentive and very friendly and warm. The place was not even 1/4 full while we were there during Covid, so we probably got some extra attention but our room, the artists studio was secluded quiet wonderfully furnished and had an upper level outdoor deck in addition to a beautiful patio downstairs, with a large tree growing out of the stones next to the front door – very picturesque. The swimming pool is fantastic and designed like the local cisterns used to store water. They have obviously put a lot of thought into every design element of this place. A little more out-of-the-way and a little more expensive than some places but definitely worth it. There are some pretty interesting ruins within walking distance that they may be able to take you to as well.

We stayed 3 nights with Suleyman and Canan, I wish we could have stayed forever. The room, grounds, garden and pool are enchanting. Perfect for relaxing, painting, writing or whatever is your pleasure. Hoyran Wedre House is an excellent base for seeing the Lycian coast. It is just a short drive from many sights of interest: Myra, Andriake, St Nicholas church, Kekova, Semina and Kas. We opted to eat dinner all 3 nights at the house as Canan is Magician in the kitchen! The breakfasts and dinners all featured fresh local ingredients very beautifully presented and the atmosphere is paradise. Suleyman and Canan are intelligent, warm and funny people. We felt we left friends behind.

We came across this hotel/guest house on our recent walking holiday along the Lycian way and it's a really magical spot. Our hosts gave us a wonderful welcome and, as we we slightly out of season, we had the place to ourselves. A real highlight was the home cooking with an amazing chicken dinner flavored with carob and breakfast with over twenty homemade jams. Rooms were large, comfortable and individually furnished. It's not polished and a little rustic, but if you want to try something authentic and memorable this is for you.
