We stayed at Orka Sunlife for our honeymoon in October 2019 and we booked a swim-up room in the beautiful Nirvana annexe rooms. Yes there were lots of steps but it was so worth it. The room was immaculate and we loved being able to sit on our own balcony in peace and quiet but be able to get into the pool from there. Food excellent, you can’t always please everyone but we found the food to be fresh and tasty and we always found something we enjoyed and really loved the waffles and ice cream in the afternoons. Big shout out to the entertainment team who were so friendly. We had a problem with a blockage in our shower but when we told reception the man came straight away and it was fixed within 10 minutes. Easy to get into Hısaronu for the nightlfe which we liked, we got a taxi each way and only cost about 20lira. Definitely one of the best hotels we have stayed at in Turkey and we shall be returning for our next holiday. Thanks Orka Sunlife

Having stayed at Club Orka for many years we decided to go to Orka Sunlife for a change this year. Steve and the restaurant staff are fantastic, kids loved coming down for every meal and was great for encouraging them to try new things . There was plenty of different foods to choose from, including some different foods to try as well as soup, Pide and chicken and chips for days when fussiness takes over.

The ice cream at pool was amazing (strawberry is the first one I’ve had that didn’t taste synthetic). My kids loved the kids club next to the shallow kids pool and they are close enough that once you sign them in they can potter back and forth to their hearts content. The entertainment staff are great and put a lot of energy into rallying poolside events during the day and kids disco etc at night.

The room was lovely, mattress is soft (which if you know the area is not something you often find) and nothing was too much trouble if extra bedding or towels were needed, even came back to find a thin duvet for my boys when the cleaner spotted they had also been sleeping with their fluffy throws (mostly for a comfort rather than cold as we had the air con on all night, but it was a lovely consideration and extra touch). If you want your room cleaned extra or while you are out there is a button at the door to activate a light to signal the cleaners, who cleaned the halls at least twice a day, and the bathrooms are on a signed cleaning rota and we’re moped frequently (both bathrooms also include a miniature toilet and sink for children which is fantastic for a “I do it myself” titch )

Keep your eyes peeled for local wildlife too, being located on the mountain from hisaronu to oludeniz it is steep but thanks to its location we found a large wild tortoise and the week after our parents seen wild boar.

It’s a fantastic place where staff soon become good friends and I would go back now if I could (even the kids are begging to go back alreadyto see Uncle Steve and to go play at the kids club)

We have recently returned from this hotel after our first visit to Turkey. What can I say other than it’s been an excellent introduction to a part of the world we hadn’t visited before.Upon arrival we were greeted with drinks and a snack and quickly checked in.As it was early hours we weren’t too keen on using the lift as we had heard of it’s reliability so they gladly loaded our luggage into a car and drove us to our room.We we’re in the Saturn block which is halfway up the hill/steps so not a bad location but facing the infamous steps, however beyond that we had a great view of Babdag and could see the cable cars traversing up and down.
The room was a good size for a couple and we found the beds comfortable and the fridge well stocked.Initial cleanliness wasn’t quite up to scratch but we found by leaving a small tip and making friends with the cleaners it got substantially better. We left a 100 lira tip and returned to find the room was outstanding and flowers had been cut and left in a vase on the table and extra towels arranged on the bed, fridge restocked and extra room slippers, well worth the odd fiver over 10 days.
The food in the restaurant was very good and varied across all 3 services with themed nights including Turkish and Asian not to mention the Sunday lunch served Sunday evening with roast beef,Turkey and Yorkshire puddings.
We thoroughly enjoyed the Milky Way terrace bar most evenings as it had a great view of the entertainment on a night time.A special mention to all the bar staff up there who helped make our holiday so special, they really did go above and beyond serving cocktails and bowls of snacks to our table, again we did tip and this goes a long way to how you’re dealt with, also please and thank you when ordering instead of barking your order which we observed several times.
Finally the animation team here are unbelievable, pretty sure they were working 14 hour days and never tired of rallying people into different games poolside and in the pool, the craic was excellent and never pushy and the music seemed to always hit the right note. When they were whipping up the pool area lots of great dance tracks and chill out tracks during the quieter parts of the day.Lots of names we didn’t get but all the staff were wonderful but Sunny,Yiit,Brek and Savas deserve a mention for creating a brilliant atmosphereWe will definitely be returning and on our personal experience would highly recommend.
I should also add the barbers/beauty salon are excellent and very good value for money.

Stayed here for 7 nights in a Luxury Swim-up suite in Oct 2019.

Pros
Room size was really good also had a nice size balcony with 2 sunbeds, 2 chairs, and 2 coffee tables. The luxury suites come with a private pool area/bar which was relatively quiet most days.

Cons
The luxury suite pool would be accessed by normal guests during our stay which spoilt the mood.
A number of guests got free upgrades to the luxury suites which felt like a kick in the teeth as we booked in advance and paid the extra for the room.
The luxury suite bar had limited items for guests, could do with getting towels from there as well and stocking more items.

Overall
Food was boring and gets very repetitive, would find dishes from lunch served up something else for dinner.

Mini disco for kids was good as my little one loved it but wasn’t staffed fully.

Hotel cleanliness was not great as you would expect for a 5star and found the number staff on hand was low so getting things was a pain.

Shisha bar was good at night and reasonably priced

Location hotel is decent short ride from the beach or local areas.

The staff are very good and helpful and work very hard especially in dining areas. The room was ok for a few days but then the room wasnt being cleaned and towels were not being replaced so we were having to get them from the spa area each day. The room was never swept or cleaned and there was dust everywhere. Balcony view was bad facing a metal roof and bins. Slight view of mountain behind and sea in the distance but only when standing and our room would appear to be in a better position than most as the rest were completely covered. The rooms by the stairs leading up all the floors are the worst as the balconys literally face the stairs you have to walk up to access your room and there is a noisy slow lift going up and down 24 hours a day when its working which it failed after 1 week. If your room is at the top of the hill you will not be happy after a couple of days. The lift i mentioned fits 4 people max and takes about 15 mins to go to the top and back. Cable cars up the mountain next to the hotel are faster. Food is ok for fresh vegetable and fruit and some selection of meats but on a number of occasions I put meat on my plate and chicken that was raw and undercooked especially minced beef products big problem if you dont want your time wasted by being sick. The location is not so good if you want to go out to local areas as you will spend alot of time and money on taxis. If you plan on staying at the hotel to make the most of the all inclusive then its good for the views as you can see oludeniz from above and the mountains. The pools are good and kids love the slides at the hotel there is more than enough sun loungers and most hotel areas are very clean. Hand sanitiser everywhere etc. Reception staff are nice and helpful if you need anything. The waterpark is quite good and they provide a free shuttle there and back but it only holds about 12 people so we paid for taxis there and back also. There is one slide that was dangerous and I crashed into the side very hard with my legs and didnt go back on it if the float had span around on the ramp it would of been my kids head that struck the side so beware of this slide it needs looking at. It has an orange ramp that you go up after a drop and when you come back down that is when I smashed into the side. We had to get out of the float and walk the rest of the slide because it stopped us dead when i hit it so beware of this slide as I was limping for the rest of the days. The lifeguard watching did not move from her chair and saw the whole thing so beware of this slide it is the one pictured in the review and you can see where we smashed in to with the blue arrow iv drawn if your childs head hits this it could be very dangerous

Me and my family stayed here for 10 days(this is lengthy please read to the end!) . Check in was fast and easy, had to wait around 40 mins for our room but there is a room that is locked and supervised for suitcases to be held. Bad stuff: the majority of rooms will have a balcony/view of a wall or bush depending on which block you are put in unless you ask for a room with sea view. Before we booked we read the reviews and everyone FAILED to mention the amount of steps you have walk up and down to get to your room, we was based at the very top of the hill, so had to walk up and down multiple flights of steps each morning and night (so be prepared not to forget anything from your room!!) there is a lift but it takes AGES to get to the top, is boiling hot in there and is more than likely broken down. If you ask to swap rooms your chances are slim due to being fully booked. Your rooms will not get cleaned unless you press the button for it to be cleaned so you will not get fresh towels unless you press for the cleaners. When it is cleaned it is done to a nice standard however the bed sheet they give you is shocking so do ask for a second one. The shower is awful and changed temperature from freezing cold to boiling hot and doesn’t have a constant flow of water, so will turn off and on. Onto the good stuff: the food is amazing, very catered for fussy eaters and always has a variety of options, also kept warm, the service for drinks at tea time is amazing and during the day the staff at the bar are always helpful. The entertainment team are lovely and very chatty and always have good activities on during the day. The hotel itself is based on quite a large hill, If your lucky the view from your room could be amazing, if your like us, not so much. With this being said, I’ll warn you about the taxi drivers, they are crazy and I’m talking formula 1 style. A taxi to the closest town was 50 lira, which works out at around £2.50 which isn’t bad however it is around a 20 min walk but the hill that your based on isn’t suitable to walk (in my opinion), no curbs obviously and with the way they drive I just wouldn’t risk it. The beach is around a 15 minute taxi drive and is lovely. The water park is great but not suitable to stay for the full day, the floor is BOILING you literally have to sprint from slide to slide, and not many sun beds that are under shade, however the food there is good and it isn’t that expensive either. All in all the holiday was great, there are so many activities to do outside of the hotel that you can find out about in the centre and the night life is great for couples and family’s! (me being 19 would know) when going outside the hotel for food, it is really cheap. We went to a restaurant and for 5 people including cocktails it cost £40 english money. I would recommend this hotel to others, I just wouldn’t say it’s 5 star material. Also very very hot and they love english money so don’t be worried if you think you don’t have enough lira. Enjoy if you are staying here!

My husband and I came to this hotel for a week of relaxation and sightseeing . We have had a fantastic time at this hotel as the facilities were really great . Our bedroom was really nice with a lovely large bathroom with a stunning view of the mountains and the sea . I usually struggle to sleep in hotels but this bed was really comfortable and I was able to have a restful sleep . On the last day Simon , the guest relations manager upgraded us to a truly gorgeous room with a fantastic jacuzzi . This was one of the most luxurious rooms I’ve ever stayed in. It was so lovely to get to know Simon who was so helpful and made sure our stay was really wonderful. I would definitely recommend this hotel as a perfect place to explore oludeniz and surrounding towns( hisaronu and Fethiye )
The hotel was really clean and very covid secure with hand sanitizers and masks everywhere . Staff wore masks all the time and we had to wear masks indoors too.
The outdoor area was fantastic with a large pool with plenty of sun beds and a children’s pool with slides.
As we were not swimming we sat on the sun beds on an elevated area overlooking the blue lagoon beach and mountains . The blue lagoon beach ( oludeniz beach ) is only a few minutes away in a taxi for about £3 or you can use the free shuttle . This is the most beautiful beach I’ve been too as the mountains surround the beach and you can see the paragliders sailing downwards . There is mainly pebbles on the beach near the sea and sand towards the top .
There was so much variety in the food that we were spoil for choice . On a daily basis there were soups , bread , pasta , chips , roasted vegetable as well as a well stocked salad bar and cold meats and cheese buffet . My husbands favourites were the daily fresh pide ( Turkish pizza) and varieties of stuffed naan bread .
We also had fresh grilled meat, chicken , fish and prawns. There was always a beef option with the roast beef and mash being my favourite . Other options rotated daily were the Shepard’s pie , lasagna , meat curry , beef ribs , stir fries and Donner wrap .
All the staff were really friendly with the managers making a special effort to come and see us and check we were happy .
I would highly recommend a hammam and massage treatment in their peaceful spa .
Orka sunlife is really fortunate to be right next to the brand new cable car that takes you up to the top of the mountains where you can enjoy some food or drinks at the exquisite restaurant . You can either paraglide down to the beach or take the cable car down .
There are really good excursions too- island boat trip to butterfly valley and the Saklikent gorge and waterfall excursion.
We would definitely return to this hotel as we loved our holiday .

Upon arrival we were told we got a free upgrade in two
Rooms to the luxury rooms however they were not luxurious at all.

Our mini fridge was leaking when we arrived, went to reception about this twice (we got food for the fridge) and wouldn’t end up eating it as the fridge was warm took them 48h to fix. When we pulled it out there were exposed wires near water!

The room never got cleaned once and we were there for 7 days. The floor had previous people toe nail clippings and the floor was dirty our feet were dusty. On the last three days we had no clean towels either and the pool towels the hotel run out and we didn’t bring any as Jet 2 advertised free pool towels. The cleaning in public areas were disgusting, all the public toilets smelled and were dirty so I went back to the room each time I needed the toilet. Also the cleaners left our door open!! Which I reported to reception but no apologises from them. Also the kettle in the room had stagnant water in it that smelled awful, and white bits on the bottom.we also had a room with a shattered balcony- there’s no concept of health and safety in this hotel.

The staff in the all inclusive were all miserable only two people who ran the Indian Ruby restaurant smiled.
The food in the all inclusive was basic nothing special but highlight recommend the Indian worth the extra money but we felt we had a amazing meal. The alcohol was disgusting!!! We paid nearly £5000 for 4 adults 1 child and on Jet2 it said All Inclusive Plus, it was defiantly not. The cocktails curdled and separated don’t get a Pina Collada or mojito- the rum and vodka smelt like petrol- for that amount then they want to charge supplements for the likes of Absolute vodka is a joke.

When you pull up the hotel is actually a 5* in turkey this is because of the facilities as it has a spa, kids club, entertainment, 3 restaurants (two you have to pay extra for) a photographer but this is more a three star. I work for another travel firm therefore I wouldn’t send my customers to a place like this if I known what it was like. Extremely disappointed felt let down by Jet2.

The kids evening entertainment is right by the pool, no barriers at all we were waiting for a child to fall in the water. Many adults smoke around the children where the entertainment is and for us who are asthma sufferers it’s not good ( yes the hotel can’t control people but there should be a separate area for this)

On arrival at one in the morning we were told the rooms were not ready , even though we found out in the morning that the hotel wasn't even half full.
The villa we were put in for the night had not been cleaned for months, the beds were soiled and the bedding was all ripped.
The two ala carta restaurants were both closed our whole stay, the only place to eat was the restaurant that was more like a cafe with kids running around unchecked.
Even though the hotel was only half full you still had to spend 5 minutes try to find a sun lounger that wasn't broke most days.
The spa was excellent and the staff in there were really nice.
The rep from jet2 at this resort is a waste of time, he didn't sort anything out and we later found out he filed false reports back to jet2.
At the end of our two week holiday the main manager decided to offer us free room upgrades for the last two day and a massage so we didn't write a bad review ( we refused) all we wanted was clean rooms and decent food.

Positive first . The bar and serving staff are fantastic and very helpful.
Main area of hotel is fine .
Rooms are definitely not 5 star ( Would give 2 star at most ).
On arrival the room was filthy, reported to reception who could not care less and just shrugged shoulders, no tea or coffee was replenished daily and had to constantly ask at reception, the same went for water .
The so called mini bar was a joke and consisted of 1 can of coke and a can of Fanta, again this was not replenished.
The cleaners only came in 3 times over the 14 nights and did not clean the room and only changed the towels once .
The Entertainment consisted of loud music around the pool from 10am to 11pm daily with a darts game and a water polo game thrown in .
There were no Easyjet reps on the site and complaints had to be done through a phone call on our mobile which cost the earth , the WiFi was next to useless so could not communicate via messenger.
The area was fantastic and would visit again but not in this hotel . Give it a wide berth if you want a 5 star experience
