We spent 2 nights at the JW Starr Pass before coming for 2 nights at Dove Mountain. I expected to see the amenities, service, and food to be better quality. Pros: 1. Food service at pool, Ignite, and the golf club were excellent. 2. Early check in at 12pm. 3. Very clean

We stayed at the Ritz Carlton Dove Mountain for a conference my husband was attending. I've never been to Tuscon before and decided to tag along. It is a beautiful property. I'm not a big fan of the desert but by the 2nd day, I started to appreciate the surroundings more. I like

From the minute we arrived, we felt relaxed, well taken care of and special. There was a casual elegance that was not stuffy, but was attentive. Staff used our names, remembered us, and asked if we ever needed anything at all. The views are scenic and memorable. We took a hike

We visited the Ritz Spa for the day. The employees go above and beyond to make sure your stay is perfect. We had a manicure and a massage....was nice to be able to stay the day, use all the services and lay out by the spa pool. I would highly recommend!

The service, food, and ambience of this hotel is top notch! However, the bed (mattress) was so uncomfortable! Also, our room, 3808 was super noisy. The patio overlooked the hotel entrance, and we heard people coming and goig all night long. If you stay here, stay in the

Call for sure and ask. You don’t want the room that overlooks the front of the hotel and its driveway/parking lot.

I was so busy enjoying all the other hotels' ammenities that I didn't have time to go to the spa. Sorry! What I can tell you is that is an amazing place to go!

I guess yes. It depends more on you. They have golf , hiking and bikes. Just be aware about the high temperatures. That's a really beautiful place to go.

The resort Jeep tour is very cool. With any luck the driver will have his pet tarantula with him! Downtown Tucson is about 25 mi. If you are an animal person, visit the Arizona Sonoran Desert Musuem and go when they 1st open. So quiet and the animals aren’t tired. A 95 year establishment to dine, ‘El Charro Cafe’ (downtown location) is a must. Great food and atmosphere. But desert mornings and evenings are quite calming and enchanting.

Both are great choices. More off-property options in Scottsdale. I love how Dove Mountain is nestled against the Ritz Carlton. If you like hiking, go to Dove Mountain. The Ritz Carlton is north of Tucson so a fair amount of driving to attractions. May want to visit Biosphere2!
