Cannot beat the location. Everything I wanted to see and do was in walking distance. Plenty of cafes and shops nearby. The room was large, but incredibly noisy, I had wear earplugs to sleep most nights. Included breakfast is a bonus, but the selection was more of a dessert table than a breakfast table. Used the pool area once. Only...

Rooms are OK, even if the details are not the newest anymore. Breakfast buffet had a variety of food , but not exactly delicious. The staff is present but I would not call them attentive. There is a pool and a hot tub, but the water in the hot tub was of an uncomfortable green. I did not ask if...

Wen for a business trip and slept for 8 nights in this hotel. Rooms were ok. A bit noisy and the window had a view to the back of other building, not good. Breakfast is very good and the elevators are very new and silent.

The hotel is conveniently located, a few blocks from the main avenue (9 de Julio). The average impression begins, however, as soon as you walk in. In typical Argentinian fashion, people in client-facing positions are unhelpful beyond their basic job description. We had asked for two beds in the room, we got one queen-sized bed. Wi-fi is infuriatingly slow and,...

The location was good, and the building was in good shape. The staff were pleasant and spoke English. The breakfast offerings didn't change at all over the four night stay but there was a good selection.

The location of the hotel is good. The room was huge. The hotel is a bit old but extremely clean. They have a great spa as well. Breakfast could be improved and they include wifi in the rate. I don't know if it would be my top choice in buenos Aires but wouldn't mind if I stayed there again

I was there for a short stay and while the location was very centric, there were plenty of problems with this hotel. Besides what I already mentioned on the title the neighborhood does not look very safe with hobos living on the building next door, the rooms are ok but small. The food at the restaurant was kind of average.

We stayed 3 nights when we first arrived in BA and 1 night at the end. The hotel is tired but generally clean and the staff were generally friendly but the location is great which is why we returned. However, our last night had to be rebooked to the following evening due to an air traffic control strike which caused...

Very old and shabby room, noisy air conditioning and the sheets had ink marks. Poor breakfast with a lot of low quality pastry, loaf dry bread and orange juice from bottle. Their check out is at 10 A.M

First, this hotel is NOT in the Recoleta area, and its not much of a spa if that is what you are looking for. It is centrally located and though it has four stars at its door, this is at most a three star hotel. Rooms are average, all have air conditioning, bathrooms have great water pressure though you are...

Staying in Retiro

Neighbourhood Profile
Retiro
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighbourhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
